CARD INSTRUCTIONS

Print Pages 1, 3 & 4 on to 160gsm/65lbs Cardstock or Photo Paper. Print Page 2 on to 160gsm/65lbs Cardstock. I've found that it is best to use this weight card rather than the photo paper as it makes it easier to make the mountain and valley folds. Cut out all the pieces including the pyramage. Mark the back of each panel (Page 3 of the kit) in pencil with the letters (A thru C).

Page 2 Pop Up Structure sheet: Use craft knife to cut the slots. The slots are the broken lines. Score Mountain and Valley lines. I find it easier to use an embossing tool and ruler to do this. Mountain fold lines are shown on each design in a lighter colour, Valley Fold lines are darker. Fold the scored lines by gently pinching each one into mountain or valley folds as indicated until it looks like the structure in the photo below and then use a bone folder to make the folds crisp.

When the folds are made the structure will look like this (a series of steps). IMPORTANT: At this point fold the card down flat (as if you are folding your card to put in the envelope) and apply your bone folder again to the back side of the folds. This will ensure that the card will fold down completely flat after you've put the panels on in the next step.

Apply double-sided tape as shown. Panels will be placed in the next step with the corresponding alphabet on the 'steps' as shown in the photo at left.

Score & fold front top panel as shown.

Apply double sided tape to the shaded boxes where it says 'GLUE D' and 'GLUE E' on the pop up structure. With the sheet laying flat apply front top panel as shown with D tab to 'GLUE D' and E tab to 'GLUE E'. Apply bone folder to the back of your folds again.

Push Flap 'F' into Slot 'F'. Fold the card flat as if you are putting into an envelope and place sellotape shown in red over the flap on the wrong side of the pop up structure. Folding it flat before you put the tape on will ensure that it the pop up will fold down flat.

Apply double-sided tape (shown in red) to A, B and C on the pop up structure,also apply DST over D and E (from the valley fold to the mountain fold).

Apply the corresponding panels to the pop up structure see alphabetical diagram above. I found it easier to have the pop up structure sheet opened out flat whilst doing this. Make sure that all the bottom edges of the panels are placed right into the valley folds and the panels are placed centrally over the steps in alphabetical order (still have to be right into the valley folds though). A & C are also placed over D & E.

Apply your chosen sentiment panel to the small middle step. Apply bone folder to back of folds again :)

Score Mountain Fold on Page 1 of Kit (Front and Back of Card) as shown at left. Make Fold. Use a bone folder to make the fold crisp.

Apply the Pop Up Structure (Page 2 of kit) into the Front/Back Card with Double sided tape (shown in red) one side at a time. I do the back first. Make sure that you have some double sided tape (shown in red) on the 4 pieces that extend out and go into the center of the card. (shown at bottom of this photo).

Once the back is glued in put double sided tape (shown in red) on the back of the pop up structure that needs to be glued to the front inside cover paying attention to the '4 legs' and fold the front card over on to it.

Open and close the card a few times.

Apply 3D Pads to the back of the decoupage pieces (Page 4 of the Kit). Layer in alphabetical order.

Place the decoupage pieces that you layered in previous step with 3D pads on to the front of the card.

Finished card.

ENVELOPE INSTRUCTIONS

Print on to Cardstock or Thick Paper. Cut out the 2 envelope pieces.

Score and fold as shown. Use a bone folder to make the folds crisp.

Apply double-sided tape to the bottom flap of the front envelope and join to the bottom edge of the back envelope, as shown.

I usually put a piece of Sellotape over this join on the wrong side as this prevents the card, when it is put into the envelope, getting caught up on the join. Apply double-sided tape on to the right side of the side flaps and fold back envelope up and over on to them. Press down well. Re-apply bone folder to folds to make crisp.

Apply double-sided tape to top flap and leave backing intact until you are ready to use.

Stand back and admire your finished Card & Envelope. Card folds flat for posting.
