Option: Comply with USGA Rules of Golf

Eliminate our local rule. Remove the unofficial ORLGA drop area. Require players to drop on the fairway

side of the hole. Players are required to

hit until they carry the water, or reach maximum number of shots (no more

than 10).

Option: Modify Current Local Rule

If a player’s ball goes into the water, the player may use the ORLGA unofficial drop area beyond the bridge on the right side of cart path.

The player will incur a two-stroke penalty versus the current one-stroke penalty. For going in the water (Rule 26-1) and For dropping the ball in the unofficial drop

area (Rule 33-8 & Appendix 1, Part A)
