1. Trace and cut out one of each shape on cardstock.

2. Cut slits around the edge of each circle to about a quarter of the way in. Slightly bend upward to give dimension. Attach small circle to large circle with hot glue.

3. Using hot glue, attach the pointed-tip petal to the top of the rounded-petal so that the petals are offset.

4. Hot-glue the combined circle piece onto the combined petal piece.

5. As accents, secure leaves to the underside with hot glue.

1. Trace five of each petal size on cardstock, and cut out shapes. (You should have 10 petals total.)

2. Cut a small slit in the flat edge of each petal. Working one by one, overlap the right side of the slit over the left, and secure with hot glue to create a three-dimensional effect.

3. Evenly space the large petals around the flat circle piece, and secure with hot glue to create the base layer.

4. Repeat with small petals, arranging so that each small petal sits between two larger petals.

5. For the pistil: Cut a 7×2-inch strip of yellow cardstock. Crease in half length-wise. Cut slits along the uncreased edge, toward the seam, to create fringe. Roll end to end lengthwise. Secure to flower with hot glue.

1. From cardstock, trace and cut out petals: three of number 1, two of number 2, one of number 3, and two of number 4. Multiple shades add interest.

2. Curl each petal upward with a bone folder or your fingers to give dimension. Each layer should look like a shallow cup.

3. Working from largest on bottom to smallest on top, arrange each layer so that petals between layers are offset.

4. Hot-glue layers in the center.
