DESCRIPTION

As more and more companies opt to go paperless, digital workflow is experiencing dynamic changes. Fortunately, those active in the industry are developing the latest and greatest scanners, shredders and electronic document management software. One of those active individuals include Wadih Pazos, Vice-President of Product Development at PaperSave. Pazos Discusses Two Big Changes On the Horizon According to Pazos, PaperSave made two significant changes in its technology. “One change is from the user interface perspective. For many years, we have been a Microsoft, Windows-based product built heavily on the MS Stack,” he explained. ”There was also a web and browser-centered product, but the majority of the software released by the company was focused on Microsoft. However, the newest release of the product, PaperSave 6.0, will consist of a browser-based version of the Windows user interface to cross-program and allow those who want to use the Web to enjoy the many benefits of the traditional product.” As Pazos detailed, the new version will include the same or at least contain similar features for Windows and web-based clients so the user experience will be comparable. “It allows our customers to simplify their deployment - those who don’t need all the features that exist with the Windows client reduce the amount of requirements they have to have on a workstation,” Pazos noted. The other change provided for users in PaperSave is the cross-platform support for individuals who run their companies on Mac and other operating systems. On top of that, PaperSave will enable numerous browsers, such as Internet Explorer 9, Safari, Firefox and Google Chrome, to be used. Management Made Easier Pazos stated the deployment of the technology will be easier. “IT workers setting up a digital system will have to do less at the workstation while still providing a wide range of access. This is supported by the PaperSave Software as a Service (SAAS) model, in addition to the on-premises solution”, he explained. “With our hosting providers, things such as disaster recovery will never be an issue. Their service-level agreements are very high in terms of uptime,” said Pazos. . As a SAAS product, PaperSave also provides the benefits of scale and simplicity as most of the features require no custom programming. Those already using a digital workflow to run business processes will see great improvements to their bottom line because internal processes will run faster, be consistent and facilitate compliance. With the latest product enhancements, PaperSave helps create the structured, digital workflow organizations need to stay competitive, gain market share and go paperless.

PAPERSAVE INVENTOR OUTLINES PRODUCT ADVANCEMENTS

TO FACILITATE A PAPERLESS WORKFORCE

As more and more companies opt to go paperless, digital workflow is experiencing

dynamic changes. Fortunately, those active in the industry are developing the latest and

greatest scanners, shredders and electronic document management software. One of

those active individuals include Wadih Pazos, Vice-President of Product Development at

PaperSave.

Pazos Discusses Two Big Changes On the Horizon

According to Pazos, PaperSave made two significant changes in its technology.

“One change is from the user interface perspective. For many years, we have been a

Microsoft, Windows-based product built heavily on the MS Stack,” he explained. ”There

was also a web and browser-centered product, but the majority of the software released

by the company was focused on Microsoft. However, the newest release of the product,

PaperSave 6.0, will consist of a browser-based version of the Windows user interface to

cross-program and allow those who want to use the Web to enjoy the many benefits of

the traditional product.” As Pazos detailed, the new version will include the same or at

least contain similar features for Windows and web-based clients so the user experience

will be comparable.

“It allows our customers to simplify their deployment - those who don’t need all the

features that exist with the Windows client reduce the amount of requirements they have

to have on a workstation,” Pazos noted.

The other change provided for users in PaperSave is the cross-platform support for

individuals who run their companies on Mac and other operating systems. On top of that,

PaperSave will enable numerous browsers, such as Internet Explorer 9, Safari, Firefox and

Google Chrome, to be used.

Management Made Easier

Pazos stated the deployment of the technology will be easier. “IT workers setting up a

digital system will have to do less at the workstation while still providing a wide range of

access. This is supported by the PaperSave Software as a Service (SAAS) model, in addition

to the on-premises solution”, he explained. “With our hosting providers, things such as

disaster recovery will never be an issue. Their service-level agreements are very high in

terms of uptime,” said Pazos. As a SAAS product, PaperSave also provides the benefits of

scale and simplicity as most of the features require no custom programming.

Those already using a digital workflow to run business processes will see great

improvements to their bottom line because internal processes will run faster, be

consistent and facilitate compliance. With the latest product enhancements, PaperSave

helps create the structured, digital workflow organizations need to stay competitive, gain

market share and go paperless.
