Brighten up your Christmas this year with a cute handmade Christmas gift box! Watch how this was created: Visit www.eckersleys.com.au/inspiration Level: Medium/Hard What you need to make your own: • Printable Christmas Gift Box Templates • Selection of Coloured Paper, A4 - we used Livano Light Card and Fabriano Tiziano Paper • UHU Glue Stick • Scissors or X-acto Knife • Cutting Mat (if using X-acto Knife) • Tape • Tombow MONO Permanent Adhesive Runner What you do: 1. Print Christmas gift box templates provided on pages 4 to 6 of this project onto plain A4 paper. Cut around the outlines provided (leaving a clear border around the edges), before placing on the corresponding coloured card and sticking down along the edges with tape to secure it. Use your scissors or X-acto knife to cut out all the elements on coloured card. Tip: For ease-of-use, you can also use a Tombow MONO permanent adhesive runner to help stick the edges of the template to the coloured card. 2. Christmas Gift Box Base Construction: Glue the lid of the gift box on top of the main body of the gift box by using the top edge of the gift box body to help line the parts up neatly. 3. Ribbon Bow and Ribbon Stitching Construction: Select ribbon detail style from the two options provided on the template (stripes for easy cutting or stitching for a challenge!). Using the template guide for reference, glue down the ribbon stripe or stitch detailing to each separate corresponding ribbon bow part (this will make it easier to assemble afterwards). Once completed, glue the following parts together from order of top to bottom for the section ‘Ribbon Bow’: Part A > Part B > Part C > Part D. Level: Medium/Hard

What you need to make your own:

• Printable Christmas Gift Box Templates

• Selection of Coloured Paper, A4

- we used Livano Light Card and Fabriano Tiziano Paper

• UHU Glue Stick

• Scissors or X-acto Knife

• Cutting Mat (if using X-acto Knife)

• Tape

• Tombow MONO Permanent Adhesive Runner

What you do:

1. Print Christmas gift box templates provided on pages 4 to 6 of this project onto plain A4 paper.

Cut around the outlines provided (leaving a clear border around the edges), before placing on the

corresponding coloured card and sticking down along the edges with tape to secure it. Use your scissors

or X-acto knife to cut out all the elements on coloured card.

Tip: For ease-of-use, you can also use a Tombow MONO permanent adhesive runner to help stick the

edges of the template to the coloured card.

2. Christmas Gift Box Base Construction: Glue the lid of the gift box on top of the main body of the gift

box by using the top edge of the gift box body to help line the parts up neatly.

3. Ribbon Bow and Ribbon Stitching Construction: Select ribbon detail style from the two options

provided on the template (stripes for easy cutting or stitching for a challenge!). Using the template guide for

reference, glue down the ribbon stripe or stitch detailing to each separate corresponding ribbon bow part

(this will make it easier to assemble afterwards). Once completed, glue the following parts together from

order of top to bottom for the section ‘Ribbon Bow’: Part A > Part B > Part C > Part D.

What you do (continued):

4. Ribbon and Snowflakes Construction: Carefully cut out the snowflake pieces (Part B), before gluing

them down to the main ribbon body (Part A) using the main template as a guide.

5. Christmas Gift Box Assembly: Glue down the combined ‘Ribbon and Snowflakes’ part to the Gift Box

body and lid first. Then, glue the ribbon bow to the lid of the box to complete the gift box.

IDEA: Add a lovely handmade touch to your Christmas presents this year by creating the ribbon bow

(Step 3) by itself and using it to decorate the top of a wrapped present! For a simpler design, feel free to

skip the stripes and stitches detailing on the bow and just pick your favourite colour.
