Submission Information Papers are invited on the topics
outlined and others falling within the
scope of the meeting. Abstracts of no
more than 300 words should be
submitted online at Registration before
31.05.2014.
Abstracts should clearly state the
purpose, results and conclusions of the
work to be described in the final paper.
The final papers are to be prepared as
per the requested format that is
available on the conference internet
site.
Deadline for submission of full-length
papers is 31.07.2014.
The language of the conference
will be English.
Registration A registration should be made
online at the conference
website. Please follow the
instructions there. For lectu-
rers, the abstract must be up-
loaded, too.. Bank transfer of
the Registration fee is ex-
pected afterwards a confir-
mation of abstract is sent and
a pro-form invoice is issued.
Registration is completed after
reception of the Registration
fee.
Venue The Conference will be held at
Novotel Budapest Danube Hotel,
Budapest, which offers rooms for the
participants for special price. The
hotel is located at 1027 Budapest,
Bem rakpart 33, north from Batthyány
Square. Reservation is to be made
directly with the hotel, it is the sole
responsibility of the participants.

Conference Topics In accordance with some priorities of the EU Strategy for Danube Region, the main subjects of EIWN 2014 conference are the following: • alternative energy resources for
fuelling; • retrofitting/fleet modernization; • promotion of Danube navigation; • education and education
harmonization; • simulator technologies for the
IWT sector; • infrastructure development; • new markets for IWT; • water resource management and
its relation to shipping; • river-sea shipping.
Background The EIWN Conferences deal with the general problems and trends of inland waterway navigation. Main goal for calling EIWN to live was to bring IWT results into the Danube region to stimulate the sector in this area. It is organized with great success attracting prominent organisations in the inland navigational sector.

Conference Fee The conference fee is 390€ per participant, it covers the registration fee, the conference proceedings, the official conference dinner, lunch and refreshments for two and half days. Official conference dinner will be held on Thursday ,11.09.2014. The payment can be made by bank transfer, NET of bank charges. Detailed information is available at the conference website.
