Adjustable Active Insulin What is different and what is the same?

• The 6 hour Active Insulin curve most closely matches the published scientific data on insulin pharmacodynamics. The 515/715 defaults to the 6 hour curve, and we recommend using the default unless prescribed otherwise by a clinician.

• For simplicity, the curve now stops when less than 5% of active insulin remains. This eliminates the long, low tail that lingered for several more hours, which caused confusion for some patients.

• To accommodate specific clinician requests, the Active Insulin Curve is now adjustable in 1 hour increments from 2-8 hours.
