Step 1 - Start with a healthy length of Fireline and string a stop bead, leaving about a 12” tail to make a peyote loop with at the end. String a Lentil Bead (LB) and a Super Duo (SD) alternating each until you are at the length you desire. Model uses 44 LB. Start and end with a LB. Make sure to check the holes of the SD’s before adding, they can sometimes get clogged with excess glass. Many times you can poke that out with a Tulip Awl.

Step 2 -At the end, string a #11, #8 and #11 and go through opposite side of the LB to reverse direction. String a SD between each LB, make sure to check both sides of the SD.

Step 3 - At the end, string a #11, #8 and #11 and go through opposite side of the LB, going past the stop bead. Jump over to the end of the SD and weave a #11 between each SD all the way down. You WILL develop a curve and that is what you want.

Step 4 - Go through the end beads on the end of the LB and repeat Step 3 down the next side. When you are done, go through the 3 beads on the end, back down through the LB , SD and the 1st #11. Lay your bracelet on a flat surface and make sure it is straight, not curved. If you have to, gently pull one side or other until it is straightened without thread showing. Make sure both sides are taught, if you don’t then the ‘points’ won’t be pointed, they will be rounded.





Step 5 - At the end, go through the 2 #11’s, skipping the #8 and weave your way to come out of the 1st #11 between the 1st 2 SD’s. String 3 #11 (OR a #11, Magatama, #11) and go into the next #11. Skip the next SD and #11, string 3 #11 and go into the next #11. Repeat to the end.

Step 6 - When done with your last row, weave up to come out of the #8 on the end. This is where you will add your button. String 4 #11 and the button. Go around the seed beads and #8 bead several times. Weave your way down to come out the 1st #11 between the SD’s and repeat the last row with the picots down this next side. Tie off.

Step 7 - Take your stop bead off and thread your needle with the beginning thread, weave up to come out of the #8 bead on the end. String 27 #11 beads, if you used a 5/8” button and 31 #11, if you used a 3/4” button, check the number of #11’s around your button to make sure, make sure it is an odd count. You will want a bit of looseness because you will be doing peyote and that will snug it up a bit tighter around the button. Then do peyote stitch around the loop, then again with #8 beads or the 3mm magatamas. Shown below is a shortened version. Tie off. You are done…enjoy!
