To restart the same system of education in the present time, Parampoojya Prabhakaracharya Gurukul has been started at Bharatiya Sanskriti Darshan Trust’s Ayurved College by the inspiration of Prof. Dr. S. P. Sardeshmukh. ‘Gurukul’ means to stay with & learn from the renowned guru i.e. teacher. The first session of this Gurukul was conducted between nd th 2 February, 2010 to 8 February, 2010. Prof. Vaidyaraj Anant Dharmadhikari conducted the Charak Nirupana session. In this session, he discussed the basic principles and principles of Ayurved Chikitsa in depth and in scientific manner. Vaidya Shriram Savarikar delivered lectures on Kwatha Kalpana and Guggulu Kalpana in different aspects. Sessions included the following lectures. Lecturer Topic 1. Vd. Over 40 students of different Ayurved colleges from Maharashtra state were participated in this Gurukul. Vd. Renuka Gayal, Vd. Anita Patil, Vd. Anjali Deshpande, Vd. Rupali Khobragade organised the Gurukul with the assistance of final year M. D. students. The students were blessed by the guidance of Vaidyaraj Anant Dharmadhikari. The participants expressed their feelings by stating that this Gurukul system of education is not only limited up to the Shastrabhyasa but it helps in developing an ideal personality as a human and Ayurvedic physician. educational system. To restart the same system of education

in the present time, Parampoojya Prabhakaracharya Gurukul

has been started at Bharatiya Sanskriti Darshan Trust’s

Ayurved College by the inspiration of Prof. Dr. S. P.

The first session of this Gurukul was conducted between nd th2 February, 2010 to 8 February, 2010. Prof. Vaidyaraj Anant Dharmadhikari conducted the Charak

Seminar on Ayurvedic & Medicinal HerbsMaharashtra Ayurved Sammelana, N.I.M.A. & other association had organised a seminar on

th thAyurvedic & medicinal herbs on 24 and 25 February 2010 at Bhugaon

Well-known personalities from all over India participated in this seminar. Dr. Balaji Tambe, Vd. P. Y.

Khadiwale, Vd. Shailesh Nadkarni, Dr. Patangrao Kadam, Forest Minister for State were present.

The programme was scheduled in 2 parts -1) Discussion on topics like cultivation of medicinal herbs,

adulteration etc. 2) Exhibition –Various plants with their different species, authentified sample of seeds '

Atharva Ayurved Pharmacy of Bharatiya Sanskriti Darshan Trust, Wagholi displayed their products.

Vd. Smita Jagtap - Lecturer, Dravyaguna Department; Vd. Nilambari Patil - Lecturer; Rasashastra

Department and Vd. Laxman Lavgankar - Lecturer, Sharirkriya Department participated in the seminar.

Educational VisitEducational visits were arranged for the students of second year under the curriculum of the subject

‘Swasthavrutta’ in the month of March. The students visited Parvati Jalashudhhikarana Kendra,

Government milk dairy, Wakadewadi, Sewage treatment plant & Naidu hospital. At Naidu hospital,

isolation ward for swine flu patients, O.P.D. for Swine flu had been visited. A valuable lecture on

contagious disease was also delivered by the doctors of Naidu hospital. At the sewage treatment plant,

information about modern sewage treatment & importance of it was given.

Dr. Prafulla Kottalwar - lecturer, Swasthavrutta dept., conducted these visits.

Interactive Workshop in Ayurved (Kriya Sharir)Rashtriya Ayurved Vidyapeeth - National Academy of Ayurved, under Department of AYUSH, Ministry

of Health and family welfare, Govt. of India had organised an Interactive Workshop in Ayurved (Kriya

Sharir) at B.V.U.’s College of Ayurved, Pune. This workshop was attended by Vd. Mrs. Supriya Mane -

lecturer, Sharirkriya of Bharatiya Sanskriti Darshan Trust Ayurved Mahavidyalaya.thThe inauguration of workshop was held on 19 March 2010, by Dr. V. N. Karandikar, Director, health

sciences, B.V.U. Dr. V. V. Prasad, Director, Rashtriya Ayurved Vidyapeeth & Vd. S. K. Mishra, Member,

Governing body of Rashtriya Ayurved Vidyapeeth were also present.
