You may bring your child to school from 6-8pm. Then for a small fee, you can enjoy two hours on your own. This might be a chance for you to hang out with friends or spend time shopping. What a great gift of time.

On Thursday December 21st, students in first grade through fifth will need to come to school for their assigned two hour block of time and take their mid- year assessment. Students will be testing in math, reading and writing. I am positive they are going to do great!!!

The schedule will be as follows:8:30-10:30 Last Names A-H10:45-12:45 Last Names I-Q1:30-3:30 Last Names R-Z

Kindergarten students are on a different schedule. Please contact your kindergarten teacher to confirm your testing time.

The Leader in Me is a program that is modeled off of the book 7 Habit of Highly Effective People from S. Covey. Each quarter we are focusing on one habit. So far we have covered Habit 1: “Be Proactive” and Habit 2: “Keep the End in Mind”. In January we will explore Habit #3: “Put First Things First”.

Here are the guidelines we’ll be focusing on while we learn about “Putting First Things First” :

I do the things that I have to do before I do the things that I want to do.

I stay focused on what I’m doing. I try to minimize distractions and regroup if I get off track

I spend my time on the things that are the most important
