Parent Orientation

2013-14

• The math journal is a spiral where students take notes from daily lessons, glue in teaching tools, and glue in and complete their homework.

• It is expected to go home every night and return every morning

• Homework will be assigned nightly except on Fridays

• We will implement the Guided Math model in 4th grade

• Guided Math is a great way to differentiate learning and for all students to apply their learning in small groups

• Students may work on Math Games, Computers, Problem Solving Skills, and Logic problems
