What is IB?

The International Baccalaureate is a program that aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect.

This program encourages students across the world to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right.

Teaching and Learning in the IB

The IB celebrates the many ways people work together to construct meaning and make sense of the world. Through the interplay of asking, doing and thinking, this constructivist approach leads towards open, democratic classrooms. An IB education empowers young people for a lifetime of learning, independently and in collaboration with others. It prepares a community of learners to engage with global challenges through inquiry, action and reflection.

Hygiene

Students in year 6 are beginning to turn into teenagers

Therefore important that you talk to your child about how their body is changing

School Nurse has been asked to come in and speak with boys and girls separately

Please make sure you supply your children with deodorant before they come to school

Page 24: Parents evening

Having Respect Please make sure you reinforce to your

children the importance of respect with their classmates

We all come from a variety of countries all with our own cultural traditions and beliefs

Therefore it is essential that everyone understand that we are all different and that we can learn from one another

That's what makes this school so amazing. The diversity!
