Grading ScaleIn accordance with JCS policy, the grading scalebelow is used in all courses.

A = 93-100B = 85-92C = 77-84D = 70-76F = Less than 70

What is the grading scale in high school ?

Each semester is made up of two quarter grades and a final exam grade

Each teacher weighs assignments differently depending on task (e.g. homework, class assignment, quiz, test)

For most subjects, tests carry a greater weight

Homework ◦ Homework is assigned on a regular basis◦ No such thing as “no homework”

Students are responsible for obtaining make-up work after an absence. Check teachers’ websites for homework.

Students should follow the make-up procedures outlined for each class

CHHS offers a variety of extracurricular, co-curricular, and athleticorganizations.

Clubs hold their meetings during SMART lunch or after school.

Students will be able to explore the different clubs and sign up every year.
