Happy New Year and welcome to the Spring term. December was a busy and happy month for the PA here are some of the photos taken at the PA Christmas Fayre and the Bancroft's School Carol Service at All Saints' Church where Committee Member Mina Patel and her PA team provided refreshments. The Christmas Fayre broke all PA fundraising records for this event, with funds raised of £5,500. The Christmas Fayre Committee (Riffat Husen, Violet El-Khamlichi and Renata Wright) could not have done this without the generous support of parents, both in terms of donations and practical help on the day, so thank you so very much. The next PA event is the Comedy Night on 28 January see below for more details.

With the support of the School and Parents, the PA has organised some very profitable events in the last 6 months: the Great Gatsby Summer Ball raised £7,200, (more than ever before); the Bollywood Night raised £5,200; the Quiz Night raised £1000; and the hugely successful Christmas Fayre as reported above raised £5,500. None of this would have been possible without the support of you, the parents, and the PA is enormously grateful.
Set out below are some details of how the School has asked that some of these funds are spent to benefit the pupils. Photos will follow when purchases have been made.
1. A waterproof large-screen TV for the School swimming pool. This will be used by the swimming coaches in conjunction with iPads to improve pupils' swimming technique as part of the Total Immersion swimming programme which is used in both the Prep and Senior Schools.
2. Two sets of 66 Bancroft's Prep School branded, high visibility jackets (in Alpha/Beta size and in Prep 1/Prep 2 size) for use on Prep school trips on public transport.
3. Two benches with dedication plaques see photo below.
These purchases follow the £7,500 donated by the PA for the Prep School Library makeover and also sponsorship of two of the four new School mini buses, a bass guitar, a bass amp, an electric guitar, a guitar amp and a drum kit for the Senior School and new gazebos for use at Sports' Day and other events.
Everyone who attended the Bollywood Night agreed that the atmosphere was amazing. Congratulations Bollywood Night Committee (Deepti Arora, Papia Chakraborty and Shakha Mehta)!
