School Budgets• As you may have seen in the news, the Government is looking to
introduce a new National Funding Formula from the start of the 2018-19
financial year (April 2018) which seeks to redistribute education funding
in a more fair and equitable manner.
• Schools have been warned to expect cuts in real terms of up to 10% by
2020. With costs rising for schools, unless income increases, we have to
review our spending to ensure it is sustainable.

• Things we want to improve…
• Pupils arriving late at the beginning of the day
• Reducing transition time at the start of the day
• Settling children to start their learning as quickly as possible
• We are exploring using a “soft start” and welcome feedback from
parents.
