What is a Hybrid class?• Online and face to face instruction• Attend a 30 minute seminar once a week,

either Monday 3:00 or Thursday 7:30• Same high standards as traditional course• Requires discipline and excellent time

management skills.• Expectations and deadlines are the same as

traditional.• Students may not work ahead into the next

unit but do have flexibility during the week.

Characteristics of a Successful Online Student

• Organized• Motivated• Prefer abstract thinking and reflective

observation• Strong academic skills

Syllabus

• Syllabus– Due on first Friday, September 4, 2015

– Honors Option and grading

Assignments

• Every week there will be assignments posted on Schoology with a due date.

• You are responsible to check for assignments.• Check updates to see any additional

announcements or information.• You need to view this information on a

computer. • Some devices do not give complete

information.

CPR unit• American Red Cross• Five skill tests• Will need to come before or after school to

test on skill tests• Written Assignments• Written Test• Option to get CPR certified• Will begin during Week 6

• Computer to run Schoology and Odyssey• You will not be able to get onto Schoology or

Odyssey until September 2015• Printer• Notebook
