It enriches those who receive it, without making poorer those who give it. It takes but a moment, but the memory of it sometimes lasts forever. None is so rich or mighty that he can get along without it, and none is so poor but that he can be made rich by it. A smile creates happiness in the home, fosters goodwill in business, and is the countersign of friendship. It brings rest to the weary, cheer to the discouraged, sunshine to the sad, and it is natures best antidote for trouble. Yet it cannot be bought, begged, borrowed, or stolen, for it is something that is of no value to anyone until it is given away. Some people are too tired to give you a smile. Give them one of yours, as none needs a smile so much as he who has no more to give. - BJ. Morbitzer

Day of Continuous Prayer In Our Parish for Marriage and Family Life

Monday 1st September is our next parish day for Marriage and Family Life. "Knock and the door will be opened to you" By knocking on the door we put ourselves into God's very safe and caring hands. This day is a call to the whole parish to pray for Marriage and Family Life. If you'd like to undertake an hour of prayer on the 1st of each month, we'll provide you with a booklet to guide you through it and the hour can be prayed anywhere. Sign-up sheets are available today and in the week ahead, at the main altar beside our banner for Marriage and Family Life. Please provide your name and contact details and during which hour of the day you would pray and we'll deliver the booklet to you.

(Marriage and Family Life Group/ Drumragh Parish Pastoral Council)

Trócaire Lenten Campaign – Matched Funding Initiative Trócaire are delighted to inform you that they have reached, and, indeed, surpassed their target for matched funding by the UK government, in the Trócaire Lenten Campaign. This could only have been achieved through the generosity and solidarity of parishioners, and their co-operation in ensuring that their contributions were made within a timeframe that allowed Trócaire to claim matched funding from the government. Trocaire ask you to accept their sincere gratitude to you for your crucial role in helping them to achieve this successful outcome. Response to crisis in Iraq: Trócaire has committed an initial €300,000 to support their Caritas partners in responding to the evolving emergency and assess the needs of vulnerable populations, the most pressing of which are food, water and essential living supplies.
