The disciples needed to set their minds on God's merciful and loving ways of seeing and doing things. Not an easy task; but their actions would be the living mark of their faith in serving others. When we understand Jesus' true identity, we are invited to enter more intimately into a loving relationship with God. We are encouraged by the Holy Spirit to follow Jesus in greater faith and trust, to experience the mercy and love of God in our hearts, and to find meaning and purpose in our service to a broken world. Lord, help us to know and follow you, now and always. Julie Cachia Toronto, ON

An Act of Spiritual Communion My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the

Most Blessed Sacrament. I love You above all things,

and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot now receive You Sacramentally,

come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You have already come,

and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You.

Amen.
