Many engineering studies were conducted after the floods. Federal, State and Local agencies financed the studies as well as constructing the flood control structures identied in these studies. This map depicts most of the flood structures constructed resulting from the studies on the map as well as the earlier flood control structures in Hartford that were constructed following flooding in 1936 and 1938.
