municipalities. This system simplifies the monitoring and collection of parking fees. The system operates as an in-vehicle meter, eliminating the need to search for coins when finding a parking place. The Personal Parking Meters eliminate the need for curbside parking meters and can also work alongside established parking systems to provide a gradual move from on-street hardware to a vehicle-only solution.

Distribution and ImplementationThe distribution channel for the Personal Parking Meter system is very important.  First, it would be most convenient to distribute the permits through companies that sell Phone Cards, established routes of distribution through Gas Stations, Supermarkets, Shops, Pharmacies etc, and offer them a percentage of the cost of the Personal Parking Meters for the distribution. 

Secondly, the local government could either employ parking attendants to run the system on the streets or contract a local private company as a concessionaire, and receive a percentage of the revenues.
