Paint AwayThis is a basic social painting class for people who think they can’t paint or never have. We will provide the basic layout of the painting and you will provide the color and creativity. Sew it Forward – Great Giving ProjectMake an activity mat for someone with Alzheimer’s. These easy-to-sew activity mats help soothe the agitated fidget-ing of people with dementia, autism or Alzheimer’s. The mats help focus their attention, stimulate senses, exercise hand muscles and entertain users. Activity Mats are the size of a placemat and in-clude pockets, zippers, buttons, strings of beads, bells, etc. They may also include a textured pocket with a soft toy or vinyl pocket for photos. This is a great volun-teer opportunity and gift from the heart.Ages: 6 & Up Min/Max: 2/12

The walking part will cover most of downtown from 2nd street to Hurd and back. There will be stops throughout the tour for restroom and/or drink breaks. HOW TO RENT A PAVILION/ROOM The City of Edmond Parks and Recreation Department has pavilions and rooms available for rent for your private function. For information on availability, pricing and booking, call the Parks and Recreation office at (405) 359-4630 or visit us M-F 8am-5pm at the MAC building in Mitch Park.

Planning a special event? Any event that offers a public invitation that includes use of city services must be approved by our Special Events Committee. City services include, but are not limited to: street closures, trash receptacles, police/fire services. Anyone interested in having a special event must contact Sarah London by calling (405) 359-4580 for information and an application.

REFUND & CANCELLATION POLICY 1.) If a class has been canceled by the instructor or Parks and Recreation Department at any time, we will work to reschedule the class. If you cannot make the rescheduled class, you have the option for a full refund or you may have a credit for the amount of your class placed on your account. Credits expire one year from the date of the original class.2.) If a registered customer withdraws more than 7 days prior to the date of the class, the customer may receive a full refund or have credit placed on their account. Program Tardiness PolicyPrograms will start promptly at the designed time. Please arrive 5-10 minutes early so you can scan your card and be ready for class.

Recreation Card All class participants must sign a yearly liabil–ity waiver and have their picture taken for a Recreation Card. Participants must bring this card each time they come in for a class and have it scanned at the front desk.

Arcadia Lake is located on the Deep Fork River and has 1,820 surface acres and 26 miles of shoreline. Central State ParkCentral State Park is 2.5 Miles east of I–35 on 2nd Street (Route 66) with 249 acres. KickingBird Golf Club

KickingBird Golf Club is the City of Edmond’s only municipal golf course. Built in 1971, KickingBird is Edmond’s oldest golf course and is still well known for its traditional 18–hole championship layout. KickingBird Golf Club has hosted many professional and amateur championships. KickingBird hosted the Oklahoma Open from 1979–1985 and many of its storied champions include Danny Edwards, Dr. Gil Morgan, Doug Tewell, and Bob Tway. KickingBird is currently the permanent home site of the Oklahoma Golf Association’s Junior Boys and Girls Championships. Come experience great golf with a family friendly atmosphere.
