Dear BMS Parent,

Brooklawn Middle School, in cooperation with the Parsippany Police Department, will be making changes to the morning and afternoon traffic patterns. The new traffic pattern will start on Monday November 13th. Our goal is to create the safest flow of traffic for our students and minimize traffic complications on the surrounding roadways. Please see below for diagrams showing our new traffic patterns. The new patterns were developed based on input from BMS administration and staff, The Parsippany Police Department, local residents and community stakeholders. If you have any questions, please contact the BMS main office.

Morning Drop Off Important Notes:

All student drop off will now utilize the long driveway on the left side of the school (Yellow color). Students will be dropped off at the top of the hill in the “Student drop off area” (Blue Color). Parents will then follow the circle around and exit back down the same path (in yellow) and exit by making

a right onto Beachwood Rd. School buses will line up in arrival order in front of the school. Only staff, visitors, and people utilizing handicapped accommodations may use the front lot (green) Vehicles utilizing the front lot will only exit on the west (right) side. The front lot will now be designated a

“ONE WAY”.

Afternoon Student Pick Up Route

Afternoon Pick Up Important Notes:

All student pick up will now utilize the long driveway on the left side of the school (Shown in the yellow color).

Students will be picked up starting at the top of the hill. If you get to the front of the line and your child has not exited the building yet, make a left and form a line around the circle (shown in yellow).

Once you have picked up your child, exit back down the same path (in yellow) and exit by making a right onto Beachwood Rd.

School buses will now line up in the front of the school. Students will have until 2:55 pm to board the buses. At that time all buses will depart the parking lot.

Only staff, visitors, and people utilizing handicapped accommodations may use the front lot (shown in green). No student pick up should occur in the front lot.
