Recycling Alert

EFFECTIVE SEPTEMBER, 2014

Due to stricter regulations at our recycling markets, we are no longer

able to take plastic bags (grocery bags, clear bags, etc.) with recycling.

This means you cannot place your recyclable items in plastic bags for

curbside pickup of both the plastic bag and recyclables or put plastic

bags in the same container with recyclables.

Recyclables are to be placed in a garbage can no larger than 35 gallons,

no heavier than 60 pounds and it must display a recycling decal. These

decals are available, free of charge, from the Recycling Division. Call

973-263-7273 to obtain one. For more information regarding the

Township’s  recycling  program,  please  go  to  www.parsippany.net and

click on the Recycling & Sanitation link.
