Creating your design template

Step 1: Decide where you will place your picture box. Picture box is where the taken pictures from the camera will be placed.On the picture above, I made 1 big picture box and 3 small picture box on the side.

You may resize the picture box as long as its aspect ratio is maintained.You can do this by selecting the layer that you want to resize. Then click Edit>Free Transform

While holding down the shift key, click and drag the corner for the bounding box so that it will maintain its aspect ratio.

Adding border to the picture box.Make sure the picture box layer is selected.Click Layer>Layer Style>StrokeIt will open Layer Style window

You can adjust the size of the border by adjusting Size: pxYou can also change the color of the border by clicking the Color: palette

Step 2: Create your designMake sure that the text is inside the Border layer

Step 3: Create guideTo do this, make sure move tool is selected, then click and drag the ruler to the edges of the picture boxes.

Step 4: Slicing the Picture boxClick on the slice tool then click and drag on each picture box.

With the slice tool selected, right click inside the picture box then select Edit Slice Options…We will need the dimensions later for the photobooth software.

Step 5: Save your design template

Step 6 Creating overlay.png fileHide the design layer by clicking the eye icon on the side of the layer

Click on Layer>Merge Visible

Using the Rectangular Marquee Tool, select the picture box then press delete

Unhide your design

Save as your design template as “overlay.png”.

We are ready to move on to the photobooth software ü
