What we learned in this sprint

GDS5

Most know rules for passport photos

People know they need a special kind of photo for their passport, and have a good knowledge of the rules

This helps us as we can give simpler guidance, but can also make people reluctant to take their own photo

GDS6

'Digital photo' not well understood

Despite most people using only digital photos, the words and concept are not well understood

The best way to explain the idea is by reference to the device used – a smartphone or digital camera

GDS7

Country of birth can be unclear

Should I enter United Kingdom, Britain, England, UK, GB, …?

Can be mistaken for county

We'll make it easier to quickly pick United Kingdom

And easy to correctly enter other country names
