Permit Application Contact Form

Please fill out completely, and ensure all information is accurate. Contractors, owners, and/or

applicants email is required, for both contacting you during plan review and during the inspection process.

Heritage Alteration Permit Application – (Planning Dept.)

A Heritage Alteration Permit may be required if your house is on a heritage registry, or in the Queens

Parks Heritage Control Area. Please Contact Planning Department for more information, 604-527-4532.

Erosion & Sediment Control Submission – (Engineering Dept.)

As per the Erosion & Sediment Control (ESC) Bylaw, applicants must indicate what ESC facilities will

be in place during construction. Please contact engineering department for more information, 604-527-4592.

ESC submission is required for all new construction.

Design Verification & House Performance Reports

To ensure that your design is in compliance with the BCBC energy requirement of 9.36, a Design

Verification & House Performance Report is to be submitted at the time of building permit application. Forms

are required for all new home construction and for renovations where the existing exterior wall or ceiling finish

is substantially removed. Please contact the Building Department for more information, 604-527-4580.

Tree Permit Application – (Parks Dept.)

The City has a Tree Protection and Regulation Bylaw, which restricts the removal of trees on the

subject property, and monitors the protection of retained trees on both subject site and neighbouring

properties. It is advised to apply for tree permits prior to planning review, to determine which trees are

permitted to be removed. Please contact Parks Department for more information, 604-527-4567, or 604-515-

3787.

A letter of authorization is required whenever anyone other than the owner is applying for a building,

demolition, or a tree permit, or to view archived drawings.
