    1. Recent Advances in Plant Sciences RAPS-2015

    Personality Development Programme.

    Human Values and Professional Ethics was introduced as a part of

    curriculum for I, II and III of B.A / B.Sc., /B.Com courses and

    teachers were trained from our college and also from all the

    colleges affiliated to S.V. University area.

    Construction of Centenary Reading Hall.

    Created database for the new arrivals on SOUL.

    Yuvatharangam festival conducted in the college for all the

    affiliated colleges in the S.V. University area.

    Consultancy services extended to Mango Pulp Industries and

    Water analysis.

    The plan of action chalked out by the IQAC in the beginning of the year towards

    quality enhancement and the outcome achieved by the end of the year.

    Experts in all fields were invited and Lectures are arranged for the benefit of the Students.

    Class room seminars are arranged so as to improve the presentation and communication skills that are hidden in the students.

    All the Departments conducted monthly tests and Assignments were given in all the important topics.

    Due to this effort, Students benefitted much from these tests and results have increased.

    JKC shoulders the responsibility of

    imparting employability skills and

    campus placements.

    It has trained 221 students in 3

    batches.

    The companies like Mondelez India

    Foods Ltd., ING Vysys Bank Chittoor,

    CEO Group Pvt. Ltd., Hinduja

    Foundaries etc conducted the campus

    drives. 86 students got placements

    during this year. Giri Prasad of III B.Sc.,

    got selected for Wipro company.

    o A foundation course in Human Values

    and Professional Ethics was

    conducted, 108 UG lecturers from

    Govt. Aided and Un-aided colleges

    participated in three phases.

    It rendered services by conducting

    Blood Donation Camp, Eye check up,

    Dental check up, General check up and

    Blood Grouping were conducted as a

    part of best practices.

    International Women Equality Day was

    celebrated on 26-08-2014.

    Self Defense program was conducted

    to women students and staff to create

    a safer future for “NIRBHAY

    BHARATH”. It trained them with

    realistic self-defense tactics and

    techniques for women.

    Mehandi Design and Beauty tips

    program was conducted on 24-11-2014.

    International Women’s Day was

    celebrated on 08-03-2015.

    The Red Ribbon Club unit celebrated

    World Aids Day on 1st December, 2014.

    The students and staff participated in

    the World Aids Days procession in the

    town to enlighten the public with

    respect to HIV / AIDS..

    District Level songs competition.

    K.R. Bharathi, II B.Sc., MSCS got Ii

    prize in District Level Traffic

    Awareness Day competition conducted

    by Chittoor District Traffic Police.

    C.K. Theja, II B.Com. got I prize in

    English Essay Writing and B.

    Manikantha, III B.Com. got II prize

    and K.R. Bharath, II B.Sc., MSCS got

    III prize in the competitions

    conducted by Anti Corruption Bureau,

    Tirupati.

    S. Murad and S. Sunil of III B.Com

    presented papers at the UGC National

    Seminar at Visakhapatnam.

    State level meet in Yuvatharangam – 2014

    Awards & Recognition

    Sri K. Lokesh, II BA HPT and Sri K.R.

    Bharath, II B.Sc., MSCS presented

    papers at the UGC sponsored National

    Seminar at Nagari.

    Yuvatharangam Games and Sports meet

    was conducted in November, 2014.

    Our students who participated in the

    S.V. University Inter-Collegiate

    Tournament won Kho-Kho Boys for the

    8th time and Basket Ball winners for 5th

    time consequently.

    K. Theja of I B.Sc got I prize in 100

    mts and 200 mts. and P. Kishore, I

    B.Sc. got I prize in High Jump.

    In the State level meet in

    Yuvatharangam our students secured

    4th place in Badminton.

    K. Theja, I B.Sc. and P. Kishore, I B.Sc.

    presented State Level meet at Govt.

    Arts College, Anantapur.

    07 students have applied for Sports

    Merit Scholarships.

    Dr. M. Sivasankara Reddy, Lecturer in

    Commerce awarded Best Performance

    in Commerce at district level on 15-08-

    2014.

    Dr. G. Usha Rani, Reader in Telugu and

    Dr. M. Sivasankara Reddy, Lecturer in

    Commerce were awarded as the Best

    Teachers at the District Level

    Yuvatharangam-2014.

    Dr. K. Subramanyam Naidu, Reader in

    Physics received the Best Teacher

    Award from the Honourable Chief

    Minister Sri N. Chandra Babu Naidu

    garu on 05-09-2014. He was also

    awarded Indira Priyadarshini National

    Award and Krishi Rathna Award.

    Sri R. Narothama Reddy received the

    State Level Best Lab Assistant Award

    for the academic year 2014-15 at

    Sri K. Dandapani Reddy, Lecturer in

    Economics was awarded Best Consumer

    In addition to usual black board method of teaching, advanced Learning

    resources like OHP, LCD are being utilized for effective teaching.

    Around 40 Guest Lectures from experts were arranged by all departments

    of the college during this academic year as a part of improving quality

    education.

    Student seminars, group discussions, Quiz programmes were conducted in

    every department to create competitive spirit among the students.

    Assignments of various types were given on critical topics to make the

    students thorough in the subjects.

    Remedial coaching was given to the slow learners in all subjects and study

    material was also supplied to improve results in the university examinations.

    The students were taken to educational and scientific tours, field trips to

    expose them to scientific, industrial, historical and natural environments.

    Periodical tests were conducted to examine the understanding of the

    subjects by the students.

    Half yearly examinations and Pre-final examinations were also conducted

    for the students.

    Study material was prepared in all the subjects and got printed and supplied

    to the students to improve the success rate.

    Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education designs the curriculum at UG level under Common core syllabus for all universities in the state.

    Revision of syllabus and curriculum design is done for every five years to upgrade the subject.

    Faculty members from our college are also acting as members in Board of Studies for certain subjects.
