سورة القمر

SURAH AL-QAMAR

Verses 11 to 13

( وحملنه على ذات 81( وفجرنا االرض عيونا فالتقى الماء على أمر قد قدر )88ففتحنا أبوب السماء بماء منهمر ) (81ألوح ودسر )

[54:11] So We opened the gates of the sky with water pouring [54:12] And We made water to flow forth in the land in springs, so the water gathered together according to a measure pre-Ordained. [54:13] And We bore him on that which was made of planks and nails

براهيم، عن أبيه، عن أحمد بن محمد بن أبي نصر، عن ابان بن عثمان، عن أبي حمزة الثمالي، عن ] الكليني [ علي بن إأبي رزين األسدي، عن أمير المؤمنين )عليه السالم( أنه قال: إن نوحا صلى هللا عليه لما فرغ من السفينة وكان ميعاده

ت امرأته: إن التنور قد فار فقام إليه فختمه فقام الماء وأدخل فيما بينه وبين ربه في إهالك قومه أن يفور التنور، ففار، فقالمن أراد أن يدخل وأخرج من أراد أن يخرج، ثم جاء إلى خاتمه فنزعه، يقول هللا عزوجل: * )ففتحنا أبوب السماء بماء

ن نجرها في وسط منهمر وفجرنا االرض عيونا فالتقى الماء على أمر قد قدر وحملنه على ذات ألوح ودسر( * قال: وكا .مسجدكم ولقد نقص عن ذرعه سبعمائة ذراع

Al Kulayni – Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Abu Nasr, from Aban Bin usman, from Abu Hamza Al Sumaly, from Abu Razeyn Al Asady,

‘Amir-ul-Momineenasws said: ‘When Noahasws was free from building the ship and there were (many) seasons between himas and hisas Lordazwj for the destruction of hisas people, the overflowing of the oven. Hisas wife said, ‘The oven has overflowed’. So heas stood up and covered it. The water was contained. And heas entered into the ship whosoever that heas wanted to, and exited from it whosoever heas wanted to. Then heas came to hisas covering and took it off. Allahazwj Mighty and Majestic Said: [54:11] So We opened the gates of the sky with water pouring [54:12] And We made water to flow forth in the land in springs, so the water gathered together according to a measure pre-Ordained. [54:13] And We bore him on that which was made of planks and nails. And heas had built it in the middle of your Masjid and it was of seven hundred cubits’.1

Verses 18 to 20

( تنزع الناس كأنهم 81( إنآ أرسلنا عليهم ريحا صرصرا في يوم نحس مستمر )81كذبت عاد فكيف كان عذابي ونذر ) (12أعجاز نخل منقعر )

[54:18] (People of) Ad belied, so how was My punishment and Warning? [54:19] For We sent against them a furious wind Sarsara, on a Day of

continuous bad luck [54:20] Tearing men away as if they were the trunks of palm-trees torn up

] الثعلبي [ باسناد أبي حمزة الثمالي قال: حدثني محمد بن سفيان، عن محمد بن قرظة بن كعب، عن أبيه، عن رسول هللا صلى هللا عليه قال: انتزعت الريح الناس من قبورهم.

Al Sa’alby – By a chain of Abu Hamza Al Sumaly, from Muhammad Bin Sufyan, from Muhammad Bin Qartaz Bin Ka’ab, from his father,

(It has been narrated) from Rasool-Allahsaww having said: ‘The wind removed the people from their graves’.2

سورة الرحمن

SURAH AL-RAHMAAN

Verse 29

(11يسئله من في السموت واالرض كل يوم هو في شأن )

[55:29] All those who are in the skies and the earth ask Him; every day He is in Splendour

ابن عباس: إن ] الطبري [ حدثنا أبو كريب قال: حدثنا عبيدهللا بن موسى، عن أبي حمزة الثمالي، عن سعيد بن جبير، عن هللا خلق لوحا محفوظا من درة بيضاء دفتاه ياقوتة حمراء قلمه نور وكتابه نور عرضه ما بين السماء واألرض ينظر فيه

.كل يوم ثالثمائة وستين نظرة يخلق بكل نظرة ويحيي ويميت ويعز ويذل ويفعل ما يشاء

Al Tabary – Abu Kareyb narrated to us, from Ubeydullah Bin Musa, from Abu Hamza Al Sumaly, form Saeed Bin Jubeyr, from Ibn Abbas that,

‘Allahazwj Created a Guarded Tablet from a white pearls, its pad being of red Sapphire, its pen being of ‘Noor’ (Light) and its writing being of ’Noor’ (Light). Allahazwj Displayed it in what is in between the sky and the earth, Looking into it every day with three hundred and sixty Considerations, Creating with every Look, and Reviving, and Causing to die, and Honouring, and Disgracing, and Doing whatever Heazwj so Desires to’.3

Al Sa’alby – Abu Bakr Muhammad Bin Ahmad Bin Abdous narrated to us dictating, from Abu Hamid Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Yahya Al Bazaz, from Yahya Bin Rabi’e Al Makky, from Sufyan Bin Ayayna, from Abu Hamza Al Sumaly, from Saeed Bin Jubeyr, from Ibn Abbas who said,

‘The first thing which Allahazwj Created was a Tablet of white pearls, its pad being of red Sapphire, its pen being of the ‘Noor’ (Light), and its writing being of Light. Allahazwj the Glorious Looks into it every day with three hundred and sixty Considerations, Creating, and (Providing) Sustenance, and Reviving, and Causing to die, and Honouring, and Disgracing, and Doing whatever Heazwj so Desires to. So these are Hisazwj Words [55:29] every day He is in Splendour’.4

، ، حدثنا سفيانمر] الحاكم النيسابوري [ حدثني علي بن عيسى الحيري، حدثنا ابراهيم بن أبي طالب، حدثنا ابن أبي ععن أبي حمزة الثمالي، عن سعيد ابن جبير، عن ابن عباس رضي هللا عنهما قال: إن مما خلق هللا للوحا محفوظا من درة بيضاء دفتاه من ياقوتة حمراء قلمه نور وكتابه نور ينظر فيه كل يوم ثالثمائة وستين نظرة أو مرة ففي كل مرة منها

.عز ويذل ويفعل ما يشاء فذلك قوله: * )كل يوم هو في شأن( *يخلق ويرزق ويحيي ويميت وي

Al Hakim Al Naysaboury – Ali Bin Isa Al Hayri narrated to me, from Ibrahim Bin Abu Talib, from Ibn Abu Umar, from Sufyan, from Abu Hamza Al Sumaly, from Saeed Ibn Jubeyr, from Ibn Abbas who said,

‘From what Allahazwj Created is a Guarded Tablet from white pearls, its pad being of red Sapphire, its pen being of ‘Noor’ (Light), and its writing being of Noor. Heazwj Looks in to it with three hundred and sixty considerations a day, or once. So, in every time from it, Allahazwj Created, and (Provides) sustenance, and Revives, and Causes to die, and Honours, and Disgraces, and Does whatever Heazwj so Desires to. So these are Hisazwj Words [55:29] every day He is in Splendour’.5

SURAH AL-WAQIA

Verse 27

(12وأصحب اليمين مآ أصحب اليمين )

[56:27] And the Companions of the Right Hand - what are the Companions of the Right Hand?

حدثنا ] الطوسي [ أخبرنا جماعة، عن أبي المفضل قال: حدثنا محمد بن فيروز بن غياث الجالب بباب األبواب قال:محمد بن الفضل بن المختار الباني ويعرف بفضالن صاحب الجار قال: حدثني أبي الفضل بن مختار، عن الحكم بن ظهير الفزاري الكوفي، عن ثابت بن أبي صفية أبي حمزة قال: حدثني أبو عامر القاسم بن عوف، عن أبي الطفيل عامر

ه( قال:دخلت على رسول هللا )صلى هللا عليه وآله( في مرضه الذي بن واثلة قال: حدثني سلمان الفارسي )رضي هللا عنقبض فيه، فجلست بين يديه وسألته عما يجد، وقمت ألخرج فقال لي: اجلس يا سلمان فسيشهدك هللا عزوجل أمرا انه لمن

Al Toosy – A group informed us, from Abu Al Mufazzal, from Muhammad Bin Feyrouz Bin Gayas Al Jalab at a door of the doors, from Muhammad Bin Al Fazal Bin Al Mukhtar Al Bany and was well know at Fazlan, the neighbour, from Abu Al Fazal Bin Mukhtar, from Al Hakam Bin Zaheer Al Fazary Al Kufy, from Sabit Bin Abu Safiya Abu Hamza, from Abu Aamir Al Qasim Bin Awf, from Abu Al Tufayl Aamir Bin Wasila,

(It has been narrated) from Salman Al-Farsyas having said, ‘Ira came to Rasool-Allahsaww during the illness during which hesaww passed away, so Ira sat in front of himsaww and asked himsaww about certain matters, and Ira arose to leave, so Rasool-Allahsaww said to meas: ‘O Salmanra! Allahazwj will be Making youra witness a matter which is the best of the matters’.

ه فيمن دخل، فلما رأت ما فجلست فبينا أنا كذلك إذ دخل رجال من أهل بيته ورجال من أصحابه ودخلت فاطمة ابنتبرسول هللا )صلى هللا عليه وآله( من الضعف خنقتها العبرة حتى فاض دمعها على خدها، فأبصر ذلك رسول هللا )صلى هللا عليه وآله( فقال: ما يبكيك يا بنية أقر هللا عينك وال أبكاها ؟ قالت: وكيف ال أبكي وأنا أرى ما بك من الضعف. قال

توكلي على هللا واصبري كما صبر آباؤك من األنبياء وامهاتك من أزواجهم، أال أبشرك يا فاطمة ؟ قالت: لها: يا فاطمة –أو قالت يا أبة -بلى يا نبي هللا

So Ira sat down. Whilst Ias was like that, a man from hissaww family came in along with a man from hissaww companions, and Fatimaasws hissaww daughter was (also) among the ones who entered. So when sheasws saw what was with Rasool-Allahsaww from the weakness, realisation came unto herasws until herasws tears flowed upon herasws cheeks. So Rasool-Allahsaww saw that, and hesaww said: ‘What make youasws to cry, O daughter, may Allahazwj Delight yourasws eyes, and do not cry’. Sheasws said: ‘And how can Iasws not cry, and Iasws see what is with yousaww from the weakness’. Rasool-Allahsaww said to herasws: ‘O Fatimaasws! Isaww rely upon Allahazwj and am patient just as yoursaww forefathers from the Prophetsas were, and yourasws foremothers from theiras wives. Shall Isaww give youasws the good news, O Fatimaasws?’ Sheasws said: ‘Yes, O Prophetas of Allahazwj’ – or sheasws said: ‘O fathersaww!’

قال: أما علمت ان هللا تعالى اختار أباك فجعله نبيا وبعثه إلى كافة الخلق رسوال، ثم اختار عليا فأمرني فزوجتك إياه واتخذته بأمر ربي وزيرا ووصيا يا فاطمة ان عليا أعظم المسلمين على المسلمين بعدي حقا وأقدمهم سلما وأعلمهم علما

فاستبشرت فاطمة )عليها السالم( فأقبل عليها رسول هللا )صلى هللا عليه وآله( وأحلمهم حلما وأثبتهم في الميزان قدرا،فقال: هل سررتك يا فاطمة ؟ قالت: نعم يا أبة. قال: أفال أزيدك في بعلك وابن عمك من مزيد الخير وفواضله ؟ قالت: بلى

يا نبي هللا.

Rasool-Allahsaww said: ‘But, do you know that Allahazwj the High Chose yourasws father, so Allahazwj Made himsaww as a Prophetsaww and Sent himsaww to the entirety of the creatures as a Rasoolsaww. Then Allahazwj Chose Aliasws, so Heazwj Commanded mesaww to get youasws to be married to himasws. And Isaww took himasws by the Command of mysaww Lordazwj, as a Vizier, and a successorasws. O Fatimaasws! Aliasws is the greatest of the Muslims over the Muslims after mesaww, truly, and the first one of them in submission, and the most knowledgeable of them in knowledge, and the most forbearing of them in forbearance, and the most steadfast of them in the Scale, the evaluation. So, receive good news, O Fatimaasws!’ Rasool-Allahsaww kissed herasws and said: ‘Have Isaww made you joyful, O Fatimaasws?’ Sheasws said: ‘Yes, O fathersaww!’ Rasool-Allahsaww said: ‘Shall Isaww increase for youasws with regards to yourasws husband and cousin, from increase of the goodness and hisasws merits?’ Sheasws said: ‘Yes, O fathersaww’.

قال: ان عليا أول من آمن باهلل عزوجل ورسوله من هذه االمة هو وخديجة امك، وأول من وازرني على ما جئت، يا فاطمة ان عليا أخي وصفيي وأبو ولدي، ان عليا اعطي خصاال من الخير لم يعطها أحد قبله وال يعطاها أحد بعده،

فأحسني عزاك واعلمي أن أباك الحق باهلل عزوجل.

Rasool-Allahsaww said: ‘Aliasws is the first one with Eman (Belief) in Allahazwj Mighty and Majestic and Hisazwj Rasoolsaww, from this community, himasws and Khadeejaas

yourasws motheras, and the first one who supported mesaww upon what Isaww came with. O Fatimaasws! Aliasws is mysaww brother, and mysaww sincere friend and fatherasws of mysaww two (grand) sonsasws. Aliasws has been Granted qualities from the goodness which none have been Granted before himasws, nor would anyone be Granted after himasws. Therefore, console yourselfasws and know that yourasws fathersaww is going to meet with Allahazwj Mighty and Majestic’.

قالت: يا أبتاه فرحتني وأحزنتني. قال كذلك يا بنية أمور الدنيا يشوب سرورها حزنها وصفوها كدرها، أفال أزيدك يا بنية ؟ قالت: بلى يارسول هللا.

Syedaasws said: ‘O Fathersaww! Yousaww have made measws to be happy and aggrieved measws (as well)’. Rasool-Allahsaww said: ‘O daughter, such are the affairs of the world; its pleasure is tainted with its grief, and its disappointments. Shall Isaww increase for youasws, O daughter?’ Sheasws said: ‘Yes, O Rasool-Allahsaww!’

قال: ان هللا تعالى خلق الخلق فجعلهم قسمين، فجعلني وعليا في خيرهما قسما، وذلك قوله عزوجل * )وأصحب اليمين مآ أصحب اليمين( * ثم جعل القسمين قبائل فجعلنا في خيرهما قبيلة، وذلك قوله عزوجل * )وجعلنكم شعوبا وقبآلل لتعارفوا

.إن أكرمكم عند هللا أتقكم( *

Allahazwj the High Created the people so Heazwj Made them to be of two divisions, and Made mesaww and Aliasws to be in the best of the two divisions, and that is in Hisazwj Words [56:27] And the Companions of the Right Hand - what are the Companions of the Right Hand?. Then Allahazwj Made the two division as tribes, so Heazwj Made us to be in the best of the two tribes, and that is in the Words of the Mighty and Majestic [49:13] O you men! surely We have created you of a male and a female, and made you tribes and families that you may know each other; surely the most honourable of you with Allah is the one among you most pious.

ثم جعل القبائل بيوتا فجعلنا في خيرها بيتا في قوله سبحانه * )إنما يريد هللا ليذهب عنكم الرجس أهل البيت ويطهركم ي من أهل بيتي واختار عليا والحسن والحسين واختارك، فأنا سيد ولد آدم وعلي سيد تطهيرا( * ثم ان هللا تعالى اختارن

العرب وأنت سيدة النساء والحسن والحسين سيدا شباب أهل الجنة ومن ذريتكما المهدي يمأل هللا عزوجل به األرض عدال .كما ملئت من قبله جورا

Then Allahazwj Made the tribes to be Households, so Heazwj Made usasws in the best of these in Hisazwj Words, the Glorious [33:33] Allah only desires to keep away the uncleanness from you, O people of the Household, and to purify you a purifying. Then Allahazwj the High Chose mesaww from mysaww family, and Chose Aliasws, and Al-Hassanasws, and Al-Husaynasws and Chose youasws. Thus, Isaww am the Chief of the Children of Adamas, and Aliasws is the Chief of the Arabs, and youasws are the Chieftess of the women, and Al-Hassanasws and Al-Husaynasws and the Chief of the youths of the people of the Paradise, and from the children of youasws both is Al-Mahdiasws. Allahazwj Mighty and Majestic would Fill by himasws the earth with justice just as it had been filled from before himasws with the tyranny’.6

Verse 14

ينادونهم ألم نكن معكم قالوا بلى ولكنكم فتنتم أنفسكم وتربصتم وارتبتم وغرتكم االمانى حتى جاء أمر هللا وغركم باهلل (84الغرور )

[57:14] They will cry out to them: Were we not with you? They shall say: Yes! But you fell into temptation, and you waited and doubted, and vain desires deceived you till the Command of Allah came, while the arch deceiver deceived you about Allah

] ابن كثير [ قال أبو بكر بن عياش: عن أبي حمزة الثمالي، عن عكرمة * )فتنتم أنفسكم( * أي بالشهوات، * )وتربصتم( .)وغركم باهلل الغرور( * الشيطان لتوبة، * )وغرتكم االمانى( * أي بالتسويف، * )حتى جاء أمر هللا( * الموت، ** با

Ibn Kaseer said, ‘From Abu Bakr Bin Ayash, from Abu Hamza Al Sumaly, from Akrama –

[57:14] But you fell into temptation – i.e., with the lustful desires; and you waited with the repentance; and vain desires deceived you i.e., with the procrastination till the Command of Allah came the death while the arch deceiver deceived you about Allah – the Satanla’.7

Verse 19

(81يقون والشهداء عند ربهم... )والذين ءامنوا باهلل ورسله أولئك هم الصد

[57:19] And (as for) those who believe in Allah and His Rasools, these are the ones who are the truthful and the martyrs in the Presence of their Lord . . .

بن أبي حمزة، عن أبيه قال: قلت ألبي ] علي الحسيني االسترآبادي [ روى صاحب كتاب البشارات مرفوعا إلى الحسينعبد هللا )عليه السالم(: جعلت فداك قد كبر سني ودق عظمي، واقترب أجلي، وقد خفت أن يدركني قبل هذا األمر الموت. قال: فقال لي: يا أبا حمزة أوما ترى الشهيد إال من قتل ؟ قلت: نعم جعلت فداك فقال لي: يا أبا حمزة من آمن بنا وصدق

.يثنا، وانتظر أمرنا كان كمن قتل تحت راية القائم، بل وهللا تحت راية رسول هللاحد

Al Amin Al starabady – The author of the book Al Bashaarat has reported with an unbroken chain going up to Al Husayn Bin Abu Hamza, from his father who said,

‘I said to Abu Abdullahasws, ‘May I be sacrificed for youasws! I have aged in my years, and my bones are thin, and my term is approaching, and I have fear that I will see the death before I see this matter (Al-Qaimasws)’.

The Imamasws said: ‘O Abu Hamza, or what does the martyr see except for the killing?’ I said, ‘Yes, may I be sacrificed for youasws’. So heasws said to me: ‘O Abu Hamza! The one who believes in usasws, and ratifies ourasws Ahadeeth, and awaits ourasws command, is like the one who was killed under the flag of Al-Qaimasws. But, by Allahazwj, under the flag of Rasool-Allahsaww’.8

سورة المجادلة

SURAH AL-MUJADILAH

Verses 1 to 4

( الذين يظهرون 8قد سمع هللا قول التى تجدلك في زوجها وتشتكى إلى هللا وهللا يسمع تحاوركما إن هللا سميع بصير )غفور منكم من نسآلهم ما هن أمهتهم إن أمهتهم إال الى ولدنهم وإنهم ليقولون منكرا من القول وزورا وإن هللا لعفو

[58:1] Allah has Heard the words of her who pleaded with you about her husband and complained to Allah, and Allah Knows the contentions of both of you; surely Allah is Hearing, Seeing [58:2] (As for) those of you who put away their wives by likening their backs to the backs of their mothers, they are not their mothers; their mothers are no others than those who gave them birth; and most surely they utter a hateful word and a falsehood and most surely Allah is Pardoning, Forgiving.

ن نسآلهم ثم يعودون لما قالوا فتحرير رقبة من قبل أن يتماسا ذلكم توعظون به وهللا بما تعملون والذين يظهرون م ( 1خبير )

[58:3] And (as for) those who put away their wives by likening their backs to the backs of their mothers then withdraw what they said, should free a captive before they touch them; that is what you are Advised for; and Allah is Aware of what you do.

فمن لم يجد فصيام شهرين متتابعين من قبل أن يتماسا فمن لم يستطع فإطعام ستين مسكينا ذلكك لتممنكوا بكاهلل ورسكوله (4وتلك حدود هللا وللكفرين عذاب أليم )

[58:4] But whoever has not the means, let him fast for two months successively before they touch them; then as for him who is not able, let him feed sixty needy ones; that is in order that you may have faith in Allah and His Rasool; and these are Allah's Limits, and the unbelievers shall have a painful Punishment.

] الطبري [ حدثنا أبو كريب قال: حدثنا عبيدهللا بن موسى، عن أبي حمزة، عن عكرمة، عن ابن عباس قال: كان الرجل إذا قال المرأته في الجاهلية أنت علي كظهر امي حرمت في االسالم فكان أول من ظاهر في اإلسالم أوس بن الصامت

Al Tabary – Abu Kareyb narrated to us, from Ubeydullah Bin Musa, from Abu Hamza, from Akrama, from Ibn Abbas who said,

‘Whenever the man said to his wife (as they used to say) during the Pre-Islamic period, ‘You are unto me like the back of my mother (Zihaar)’, she became forbidden unto him during Islam (Islamic period). So the first one who committed Zihaar during Al-Islam was Aws Bin Al-Saamit, and his wife was a daughter of his cousin called Khawla Bint Khuweylid. So he did Zihaar from her, and she fell down in front of him and he said, ‘I do not see you except that you are forbidden unto me’, and she said to him similar to that.

قال: فانطلقي إلى رسول هللا )صلى هللا عليه وسلم( قال فأتت رسول هللا )صلى هللا عليه وسلم( فوجدت عنده ماشطة تمشط رأسه فأخبرته فقال: يا خويلة ما امرنا في أمرك بشئ فأنزل هللا على رسوله )صلى هللا عليه وسلم( فقال: يا خويلة

هللا )صلى هللا عليه وسلم( * )قد سمع هللا قول التى تجدلك في زوجها أبشري، قالت: خيرا، قال: فقرأ عليها رسول وتشتكى إلى هللا( * إلى قوله * )فتحرير رقبة من قبل أن يتماسا( *

He said, ‘So go to Rasool-Allahsaww’. She came to Rasool-Allahsaww and found in hissaww presence a hairdresser combing hissaww head. So she informed himsaww and hesaww said: ‘O Khawla! Isaww have not been Commanded with regards to your matter, with anything (yet)’. So Allahazwj Revealed unto Hisazwj Rasoolsaww, so he saww said: ‘O Khawla, receive good news’. She said, ‘Good’. So Rasool-Allahsaww recited to her: ‘[58:1] Allah has Heard the words of her who pleaded with you about her husband and complained to Allah up to Hisazwj Words [58:3] should free a captive before they touch them’.

قالت: وأي رقبة لنا وهللا ما يجد رقبة غيري قال: * )فصيام شهرين متتابعين( * قالت: وهللا لوال أنه يشرب في اليوم ثالث مرات لذهب بصره قال: * )فمن لم يستطع فإطعام ستين مسكينا( * قالت: من أين ما هي إال أكلة إلى مثلها قال: فرعاه

.عا فقال: ليطعم ستين مسكينا وليراجعكبشطر وسق ثالثين صاعا والوسق ستون صا

She said, ‘And which captive is for us. By Allahazwj, he will not find a captive apart from me’. Rasool-Allahsaww said: ‘[58:4] let him fast for two months successively’. She said, ‘By Allahazwj! If he does not drink three times during the day his eyesight would go away’. Rasool-Allahasws said: ‘then as for him who is not able, let him feed sixty needy ones’. She said, ‘From where? It is not except what I eat, similar to it’. Rasool-Allahsaww said: ‘So Isaww see him with the halves – load thirty Sa’a (a unit of measurement), and the (total) load is of sixty Sa’a (and gave it to her), so Rasool-Allahsaww said: ‘So let him feed sixty needy ones, and return to you’.9

Al Bayhaqi – Abu Abdullah Is’haq Bin Muhammad Bin Yusuf Al Sowsy informed us, from Abu Al Abbas Muhammad Bin Yaqoub, from Al Abbas Bin Muhammad, from Ubeydullah Bin Musa, from Abu Hamza Al Sumaly, from Akrama,

(It has been narrated) from Ibn Abbas who mentioned the story of Zihaar of Aws until he said, ‘[58:3] should free a captive. Khuweyla said, ‘I said, ‘And which captive is for us. No one serves him (my husband) apart from me’. Heasws said: ‘[58:4] But whoever has not the means, let him fast for two months successively before they touch them’. She said, ‘By Allahazwj! If he does not go to drink three times in a day, his eyesight goes away’. Hesaww said: ‘then as for him who is not able, let him feed sixty needy ones’. She said, ‘And from where is it? I eat similar to it’. So the Prophetsaww called for two halves, and loaded thirty Sa’a, and the (total) load was of sixty Sa’a (and gave it to her). Rasool-Allahsaww said: ‘Let him feed sixty needy ones and return to you’.11

Verse 12

يأيها الذين ءامنوا إذا نجيتم الرسول فقدموا بين يدى نجولكم صدقة ذلك خير لكم وأطهر فإن لم تجدوا فإن هللا غفور (81رحيم )

[58:12] O you who believe! When you consult the Rasool, then give something in charity before your consultation; that is better for you and purer; but if you do not find, then surely Allah is Forgiving, Merciful

Ibn Al Maghazily – Abu Tahir Muhammad Bin Ali Bin Muhammad Al Bay’a Al Baghdady informed us, from Abu Ahmad Ubeydullah Bin Muhammad Bin Ahmad Bin Abu Muslim, from Abu Al Abbas Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Saeed the well known as Uqda the memoriser, from Ja’far Bin Muhammad Bin Saeed Al Ahmasy, from Nasr Bin Mazahim, from Abu Sasaan and Abu Hamza, from Abu Is’haq Al Sabi’e, from Aamir Bin Wasila who said,

‘I was with Aliazwj in the house on the day of the consultation, so I heard Aliasws saying to them: ‘Iasws shall argue against you with what neither your Arab nor your non-Arab would be able to change that’ . . . until heasws said: ‘Iasws adjure you with Allahazwj! Is there anyone among you to whom Rasool-Allahsaww whispered ten times, with confidential talk in front (of everyone), before (hesaww did so with) measws?’ They said, ‘O Allahazwj! No!’12

Verse 22

اد هللا ورسوله ولو كانوا ءابآءهم أو أبنائهم أو إخونهم أو ال تجد قوما يممنون باهلل واليوم االخر يوآدون من حعشيرتهم أولئك كتب في قلوبهم االيمن وأيدهم بروح منه ويدخلهم جنت تجرى من تحتها االنهر خلدين فيها رضى هللا

[58:22] You shall not find a people who believe in Allah and the Last Day befriending those who oppose Allah and His Rasool, even though they were their (own) fathers, or their sons, or their brothers, or their kinsfolk; these are they into whose hearts He has Impressed faith, and He has Supported them with a Spirit from Him: and He will Cause them to enter Gardens beneath which rivers flow, abiding therein; Allah is well-pleased with them and they are well-pleased with Him; these are Allah's party: Indeed the party of Allah are the successful ones

(The narrator) says, ‘I asked Abu Ja’farasws about the Words of Allahazwj Mighty and Majestic [58:22] and He has Supported them with a Spirit from Him. The Imamasws said: ‘It is ‘االيمان’ the Eman’.13

Abu Ja’farasws has said: ‘Allahazwj Blessed and High Said [59:7] Whatever Allah has restored to His Rasool from the people of the towns, it is for Allah and for the Rasool, and for the near of kin – whatever was for the Rasoolsaww, so it is for usasws and for ourasws Shiah. Weasws have made it to be Permissible for them, and made it to be good for them.

يا أبا حمزة ! وهللا ال يضرب على شئ من السهام في شرق األرض وال غربها مال إال كان حراما سحتا على من نال منه شيئا ما خالنا وشيعتنا إنا طيبناه لكم وجعلناه لكم. وهللا يا أبا حمزة ! لقد غصبنا وشيعتنا حقنا ماال من هللا علينا، ما مالؤنا

O Abu Hamza! And Allahazwj did not Strike upon anything, from the share of wealth, in the east of the earth and the west of it, except that it was Forbidden, being ill-gotten upon the one who takes anything from it, except for usasws and ourasws Shiah. Weasws have made it to be good for you (Shiah), and made it to be for you (Shiah). By Allahazwj, O Abu Hamza! They have usurped usasws and ourasws Shias of our rights, monies from Allahazwj unto usasws, what was for ourasws support with the happiness, and what you (Shiah) have been left with is the Punishment in the world’.14

Al Sadouq – My father said, ‘Ahmad Bin Idrees narrated to me, from Muhammad Bin Ahmad, from Muhammad Bin hasaan, from Ismail Bin Mahran, from Al Hassan Bin Ali, from Aasim Al Hanaat, from Abu Hamza Al Sumaly,

‘Aliasws Bin Al-Husaynasws has said: ‘The one who recites Surah Al-Mumtahana (Chapter 60) in his obligatory (Salaat) and his optional (Salaat), Allahazwj would Test his heart for the Imaan (faith), and Enlighten is vision for him, and not Hit him with poverty, ever, nor insanity in his body nor in his children’.15

Verse 13

(81قد يئسوا من االخرة كما يئس الكفار من أصحب القبور )

[60:13] Indeed they despair of the Hereafter as the unbelievers despair of the occupants of the graves.

Ibn Kaseer – Abu Bakr Bin Ayash, from Abu Hamza Al Sumaly, from Akrama, said,

‘When the disbelievers enter the graves and they see with their own eyes what Allahazwj has Prepared for them from the disgrace, they would despair from the Bounties of Allahazwj’.16

(It has been narrated) from a man from the companions of Rasool-Allahsaww who said, ‘The Prophetsaww said: ‘It was shown to mesaww (in mysaww dream), that black sheep followed mesaww, then camels followed the sheep, and in front of these was Abu Bakr’. Rasool-Allahsaww said: ‘As for the black (sheep) so (these are the) Arabs, and as for the camels, so (these are the) non-Arabs, following the same (Abu Bakr) after the Arabs’. Rasool-Allahsaww said: ‘Such is what the Angel crossed over it in the morning’ meaning the time of the sunrise’.17

Verse 9

(1امنوا إذا نودى للصلوة من يوم الجمعة... )يأيها الذين ء

[62:9] O you who believe! When the call is made for prayer on Friday, then hasten to the Remembrance of Allah and leave off trading; that is better for you, if you know.

‘A man said to Abu Ja’farasws, ‘How was Al Jummah come to be named as such?’ The Imamasws said: ‘Allahazwj Mighty and Majestic gathered in it Hisazwj creatures for the Wilayah of Muhammadsaww and hissaww successorasws during the (Taking of the) Covenant, thus, the day of Friday was named as Al-Jummah, for the creatures were gathered (Jama’a) therein’.18

SURAH AL-TAHREEM

Verse 4

إن تتوبا إلى هللا فقد صغت قلوبكما وإن تظهرا عليه فإن هللا هو مواله وجبريل وصلح المممنين والمالئكة بعد ذلك (4ظهير )

‘Rasool-Allahsaww regarding Aliasws Bin Abu Talibasws, heasws is ‘صالح’ the Corrector of the Believers’.20

Al Sadouq – Muhammad Bin Ali narrated to us, from the uncle of Muhammad Bin Abu Al Qasim, from Muhammad Bin Ali Al Kufy, from Muhammad Bin Sinan, from Al Mufazzal Bin Umar, from Sabit Bin Abu Safiya, from Saeed Bin Jubeyr, from Abdullah Bin Abbas who said,

‘Rasool-Allahsaww said: ‘Group of the people! Who is the most beautiful from Allahazwj in speech and the most truthful from Allahazwj in narration! Group of the people! Your Lordazwj, Majestic is Hisazwj Majesty, Commanded mesaww that Isaww should nominate Aliasws for you all as a ‘علما’ Flag, and an Imamasws, and a Caliph, and a successorasws, and that Isaww should take himasws as a brother and as a Vizier.

معاشر الناس ! إن عليا باب الهدى بعدي والداعي إلى ربي وهو * )صلح المؤمنين( * ومن أحسن قوال ممن دعا إلى هللا من المسلمين. معاشر الناس ! إن عليا مني ولده ولدي وهو زوج حبيبتي أمره أمري، ونهيه وعمل صالحا وقال انني

نهيي.

Group of the people! Aliasws is a Door of the Guidance after mesaww and the Caller to mysaww Lordazwj, and heasws is [66:4] the Corrector of the Believers. And who is more beautiful in speech than the one who calls to Allahazwj, and does righteous deeds, and says: ‘Iasws am from the Muslims (submitters)’. Group of the people! Aliasws is from mesaww, and hisasws sonsasws are mysaww sonsasws, and heasws is the husband of mysaww beloved (daughter). Hisasws order is mysaww order, and hisasws prohibition is mysaww prohibition.

معاشر الناس ! عليكم بطاعته واجتناب معصيته فان طاعته طاعتي، ومعصيته معصيتي. معاشر الناس ! إن عليا صديق هذه االمة وفاروقها ومحدثها انه هارونها وآصفها وشمعونها انه باب حطتها وسفينة نجاتها وانه طالوتها وذو قرنيها.

Group of the people! Upon you is to be obedient to himasws, and avoidance of being disobedient to himasws, for being obedient to himasws is to be obedient to mesaww, and being disobedient to himasws is be disobedient to mesaww. Group of the people! Aliasws is the truthful one of this community, and its Differentiator, and its narrator, and heasws is its Harounas, and its Aasifas, and its Shamounas. Heasws is its Door of Hitta, and its ship of salvation, and heasws its Talutas, and its Zul Qarnaynas.

معاشر الناس ! إنه محنة الورى والحجة العظمى واآلية الكبرى وإمام أهل الدنيا والعروة الوثقى. معاشر الناس ! إن عليا مع الحق والحق معه وعلى لسانه.

Group of the people! Heasws is the Pledge of the humankind, and the Magnificent Proof, and the Great Sign, and Imamasws of the people of the world, and the Firmest Handle. Group of the people! Aliasws is with the Truth and the Truth is with himasws and upon hisasws tongue.

لها عدو له وال معاشر الناس ! إن عليا قسيم النار ال يدخل النار ولي له وال ينجو منها عدو له إنه قسيم الجنة ال يدخيزحزح عنه ولي له. معاشر أصحابي ! قد نصحت لكم وبلغتكم رسالة ربي ولكن ال تحبون الناصحين أقول قولي هذا

.وأستغفر هللا لي ولكم

Group of the people! Aliasws is the Distributor of the Fire, none shall enter the Fire who is a friend of hisasws, nor the one would be saved from it who is an enemy of hisasws. Heasws is the Distributor of the Paradise, none shall enter it who is an enemy of hisasws, nor would one taken away from it who is a friend of hisasws. Group of mysaww companions! Isaww have hereby advised you and delivered the Message of mysaww Lordazwj to you all, but you do not like the advisors. Isaww said this speech of mineasws, and may Allahazwj Forgive mesaww and you all’.21

SURAH AL-QALAM

Verse 1

( 8ن والقلم وما يسطرون )

[68:1] Noon, and I swear by the Pen and what it would be writing

Al Sa’alby – It has been reported by Sabit Al Sumaly, from Ibn Abbas,

‘The [68:1] Noon – is the ink’.22

Ibn Kaseer – Ibn Jareyr said, ‘Ibn Hameed narrated to us, from Yaqoub, from his brother Isa Bin Abdullah, from Sabit Al Sumaly, from Ibn Abbas who said,

‘Allahazwj Created the [68:1] Noon, and it is the ink, and Created the Pen, so it said, ‘What shall I write’, and it said, ‘What is to be written’. Allahazwj Said: “Write what is going to happen up to the Day of Judgement, from the deeds of the doers, be they righteous or immoral, the sustenance distributed be it Permissible or Prohibited. Then Heazwj Necessitated Hisazwj Glory upon everything from that, taking Hisazwj Place in the world, Entering into it ‘How much’, and Taking out from it ‘How’.

ثم جعل على العباد حفظة وللكتاب حزانا فالحفظة ينسخون كل يوم من الخزان عمل ذلك اليوم فإذا فنى الرزق وانقطع األثر وانقضى األجل أتت الحفظة الخزنة يطلبون عمل ذلك اليوم فتقول لهم الخزنة ما نجد لصاحبكم عندنا شيئا فترجع

ا.الحفظة فيجدونهم قد ماتو

Then Allahazwj Made Keepers upon the servants, and a treasurer for the Book. So the keepers copy every day from the treasury, the deeds for that day. Be it for the sustenance, and the cutting off of the effect, and the ending of the term (life), the keepers comes to the treasurer seeking the deeds of that day. So the treasurer says to them, ‘We do not find anything with for your companions’. So the keepers return and they find him to have died’.

)إنا كنا نستنسخ ما كنتم تعملون( * وهل يكون قال: فقال ابن عباس: ألستم قوما عربا تسمعون الحفظة يقولون * االستنساخ إال من أصل.

He (the narrator) said, ‘So Ibn Abbas said, ‘Are you not an Arab people listening to the keepers saying [45:29] surely We have Recorded what you have been doing. So, does the copying take place except from the original?’23

Verse 13

(81عتل بعد ذلك زنيم )

[68:13] Ignoble, after all that, base-born

Al Sa’alby – Al Sumaly has reported, from Mujahid

(It has been narrated) regarding [68:13] base-born. He said, ‘There used to be six fingers in his hands, in every thumb of his, an excess finger’.24

(It has been narrated) regarding the Words of the High [68:13] base-born, ‘He is the deceitful one who recognises his victim the just as the sheep is recognised by its predator’.25

(81لنجعلها لكم تذكرة وتعيهآ أذن وعية )

[69:12] And We Made it a Reminder for you and that the retaining ear would retain it

Al Sa’alby – Ibn Fanjawiya informed me, from Ibn Hayan, from Is’haq Bin Muhammad, from his father, from Ibrahim Bin Isa, from Ali Bin Ali, from Abu Hamza Al Sumaly, from Abdullah Bin Al Hassan who said,

‘When this Verse was Revealed [69:12] and that the retaining ear would retain it, Rasool-Allahsaww said: ‘I asked Allahazwj that Heazwj should Make it to be yourasws ear, O Aliasws’. Aliasws said: ‘So Iasws did not forget anything afterwards, and it was not for measws that Iasws should forget it’.26

Verse 17

(82ويحمل عرش ربك فوقهم يومئذ ثمنية )

[69:17] And the Angels shall be on the sides thereof; and above them eight shall bear on that Day the Throne of your Lord

[71:23] And they have said (to each other), 'Abandon not your gods: Abandon neither Wadd nor Suwa'a, neither Yagous nor Yaowq, nor Nasr

عرب فكانت ود بدومة الجندل، وسواع برهاط لهذيل، ] الفضل الطبرسي [ عن الثمالي: إن أوثان قوم نوح صارت إلى الوكان يغوث لبني غطيف من مراد، وكان يعوق لهمدان، وكان نسر آلل ذي الكالع من حمير، وكان الالت لثقيف، وأما العزى فلسليم وغطفان وجشم ونضر وسعد بن بكر، وأما مناة فكانت لقديد، وأما أساف ونائلة وهبل فألهل مكة، وكان

Al Fazal Al Tabarsy, from Al-Sumaly,

‘The idols of the people of Noahas came to (be with) the Arabs. So Wadda was with (King) Dowmat of Al-Jandal; and Suwa’a was with Rahaat of Hazeel; and Yagous was with the Clan of Ghateyf from Muraad; and Yaowq was at Hamdaan; and Nasr was for the progeny of Zilkala’a from Humeyr; and Al-Laat was for (the Clan of) Saqeef; and as for Al-Uzza, so it was for the Clans of Saleym, and Ghatfan, and Jashm, and Mazar, and Sa’ad Bin Bakr; and as for Manaat, so it was for (the Clan of) Qadeed; and as for Asaaf and Na’ila, and Hobal, so these were for the people of Makkah. And Aasaf was situated near the Black Stone, and Na’ila was situated next to Al-Rukn Al-Yamani, and Hobal was in the middle of Kabah, being of eighteen cubits’.28

Al Sa’alby – Al Sumaly said,

‘The idols of the people of Noahas came to be with the Arabs. So Wadda was a dog (shaped) with Dowmat Al-Jandal; and Suwa’a was at Rahaat for Hazeyl, and Yagows was for the Clan of Ghateyf from Muraad at Al-Jouf, and Yaowq was for Hamdaan, and Nasr for the progeny of Zilkala’a from Humeyr’.29

SURAH AL-JINN

Verse 1

(8قل أوحى إلى أنه استمع نفر من الجن فقالوا إنا سمعنا قرءانا عجبا )

[72:1] Say: It has been revealed to me that a party of the Jinn listened, and they said: Surely we have heard a strange Quran

.ر الجن عددا وهم عامة جنود إبليس] الفضل الطبرسي [ قال أبو حمزة الثمالي: وبلغنا انهم من بني الشيصبان هم أكث

Al Fazal Al Tabarsy – Abu Hamza Al Sumaly said,

‘And it has reached us that they were from the Clan of Al-Sheysabaan. They were the more numerous of the Jinn in number, and they formed the generality of the armies of Ibleesla’.30

.] القرطبي [ قال الثمالي: بلغنا انهم من بني الشيصبان، وهم أكثر الجن عددا وأقواهم شوكة، وهم عامة جنود إبليس

Al Qurtuby said, ‘Al-Sumaly said,

‘It has reached that they were the Clan of Al-Sheysabaan, and they were the more numerous of the Jinn in number, and the strongest of them in capabilities, and they formed the generality of the armies of Ibleesla’.31

[72:15] And as to the deviators, they are fuel of Hell: [72:16] And that if they should keep to the (right) way, We would certainly give them to drink of abundant water [72:17] So that We might try them with respect to it . . .

Al Fazal Al Tabarsy – Al Sumaly said,

‘[72:17] So that We might try them with respect to it – i.e. Weazwj shall Inform them of that and its evidence [6:44] But when they forgot that which they had been reminded with, We opened for them the doors of all things, until when they rejoiced in what they were Given We Seized them suddenly; then they were in utter despair’.32

] الثعلبي [ قال الثمالي: معناها وان لو استقاموا على طريقة الكفر والضاللة وكانوا كفارا كلهم ألعطيناهم ماال كثيرا ولوسعنا عليهم لنفتنهم فيه عقوبة لهم واستدراجا حتى يفتتنوا فيعذبهم. ودليل هذا التأويل قوله سبحانه * )فلما نسوا ما

( * وقوله سبحانه وتعالى * )ولوال أن يكون الناس أمة وحدة لجعلنا لمن يكفر ذكروا به فتحنا عليهم أبوب كل شئبالرحمن لبيوتهم سقفا من فضة ومعارج عليها يظهرون( * وقوله سبحانه * )ولو بسط هللا الرزق لعباده لبغوا في

.االرض( * وقوله تعالى * )كال إن االنسن ليطغى أن رأه استغنى( *

Al Sa’alby – Al Sumaly said,

‘Its Meaning is that, if one were to stand upon the way of the disbelievers and the straying, and the disbelievers, all of them would have been give abundant wealth and Expand (the livelihood) to them [72:17] So that We might try them with respect to it Punishment for them until they are Tested, so Allahazwj would Punish them. And the evidence of this explanation are the Words of the Glorious [6:44] But when they forgot that which they had been reminded with, We opened for them the doors of all things, and the Words of the Glorious and High [43:33] And were it not that all people had been a single nation, We would certainly have Assigned to those who disbelieve in the Beneficent (to make) of silver the roofs of their houses and the stairs by which they ascend, and the Words of the Glorious [42:27] And if Allah should Amplify the provision for His servants they would certainly revolt in the earth, and the Words of the High [96:6] Nay! man is most surely inordinate, [96:7] Because he sees himself free from need’.33

] القرطبي [ قال الثمالي: * )وألو استقموا على الطريقة( * التي هم عليها من الكفر فكانوا كلهم كفارا لوسعنا أرزاقهم مكرا بهم واستدراجا لهم، حتى يفتتنوا بها، فنعذبهم بها في الدنيا واآلخرة، واستدل بقوله تعالى: * )فلما نسوا ما ذكروا به

أبوب كل شئ( * اآلية. وقوله تعالى: * )ولوال أن يكون الناس أمة وحدة لجعلنا لمن يكفر بالرحمن لبيوتهم فتحنا عليهم .سقفا من فضة ومعارج عليها يظهرون( *

Al Qurtuby – Al Sumaly said,

‘[72:16] And that if they should keep to the way – the one which they are upon from the disbelief. So they were all disbeliever, Weazwj would Expand their livelihood at a Plan with them, until they are tested by it in the world and the Hereafter, and it is evidenced by Hisazwj Words [6:44] But when they forgot that which they had been reminded with, We opened for them the doors of all things – the Verse. (It has been narrated) from Abu Ja’farasws and Zayd son of Aliasws - [73:6] the firmest way to tread, said: ‘Filling of the space for your heart’.35

[73:12] Surely, with Us are heavy fetters and a flaming Fire

Ibn Kaseer – Abu Bakr Bin Ayash said, from Abu Hamza Al Sumaly, from Akrama who said,

Abu Ja’far Al Baqirasws has said: ‘Weasws and ourasws Shias are the companions of the right hand’.37

SURAH AL-INSAAN

] الفضل الطبرسي [ قال أبو حمزة الثمالي في تفسيره: حدثني الحسن بن الحسن أبو عبد هللا بن الحسن، أنها مدنية نزلت .في علي وفاطمة السورة كلها

Al Fazal Al Tabarsy in his Tafseer – Abu Hamza Al Sumaly said,

‘It was narrated to me by Al-Hassan Bin Al-Hassan Abu Abdullah Bin Al-Hassan, that it is a Medinite (Chapter), been Revealed regarding Aliasws and Syeda Fatimaasws, the whole Chapter in its entirety’.38

Verse 8

(1ويطعمون الطعام على حبه مسكينا ويتيما وأسيرا )

[76:8] And they give food out of love for Him to the poor and the orphan and the captive

] الثعلبي [ قال أبو حمزة الثمالي: األسير المرأة، ودليل هذا التأويل قول النبي )عليه السالم(: " استوصوا بالنساء خيرا .فانهن عندكم عوان "

Al Sa’alby – Abu Hamza Al Sumaly said,

‘The captive - the woman, and the evidence of the explanation are the words of the Prophetsaww; ‘Treat the women in a goodly manner, for they grow old with you’.39

Abu Al Hayan Al Andalusy – Abu Hamza Al Sumaly said,

‘It (the captive) is the wife’.40

(81وجزلهم بما صبروا جنة وحريرا )

[76:12] And Reward them, because they were patient, with garden and silk

Abu Naeem Al Isbahany – Habeeb Bin Al Hassan narrated to us, from Abdullah Bin Salih Al Bukhary, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Muhammad Bin Saeed Al Sayrafy, from Muhammad Bin Kaseer Al Kufy, from Abu Hamza Al Sumaly,

(It has been narrated) from Abu Ja’farasws regarding the Words of the Mighty and Majestic [76:12] And Reward them, because they were patient, with garden and silk. The Imamasws said: ‘Having been patient upon the poverty and the difficulties of the world’.41

Verse 15

(81ويطاف عليهم بانية من فضة وأكواب كانت قواريرا )

[76:15] And there shall be made to go round about them vessels of silver and goblets as if made of glass

] الثعلبي [ قال الثمالي: إن هللا سبحانه جعل قوارير كل قوم من تراب أرضهم وان تراب الجنة من فضة فجعل من تلك الفضة قوارير يشربون فيها.

Al Sa’alby – Al-Sumaly said,

‘Allahazwj the Glorious Made the glass of every people from the dust of their ground, and the dust of the Paradise is from silver, so Heazwj Made from that silver, the glasses they would be drinking from it’.42

Verse 21

(18عليهم ثياب سندس خضر وإستبرق وحلوا أساور من فضة وسقهم ربهم شرابا طهورا )

[76:21] Upon them shall be garments of fine green silk and thick silk interwoven with gold, and they shall be adorned with bracelets of silver, and their Lord shall make them drink a pure drink

(It has been narrated) from Aliasws Bin Al-Husaynasws having said: ‘From dresses of a Believer, Allahazwj would Dress him from the green clothes’.43

[77:1] I swear by the emissary winds, sent one after another

Al Fazal Al Tabarsy – from Abu Hamza Al Sumaly,

(It has been narrated) from the companions of Aliasws, from himasws having said: ‘These are Angels Sent with enjoining of the good from the Commands of Allahazwj and its Prohibitions’.44

Verse 48

(41وإذا قيل لهم اركعوا ال يركعون )

[77:48] And where it is said to them: Bow down, they do not bow down

الى: * )وإذا قيل لهم ] فرات الكوفي [ معنعنا عن أبي حمزة الثمالي قال: سألت أبا جعفر )عليه السالم( في قول هللا تعاركعوا ال يركعون( * قال: تفسيرها في باطن القرآن: وإذا قيل للنصاب والمكذبين تولوا عليا، لم يفعلوا ألنهم الذين سبق

.عليهم في علم هللا من الشقاء

Furaat Al Kufy – Along with us from Abu Hamza Al Sumaly who said,

‘I asked Abu Ja’farasws regarding the Words of the High [77:48] And where it is said to them: Bow down, they do not bow down, Imamasws said: ‘Its interpretation in the esoteric of the Quran – And when it is said to the Hostile Ones (Nasibis) and the liars to befriend Aliasws, they do not do it, because they are those who have preceded in the Knowledge of Allahazwj as the wretched ones’.45

‘I said to Abu Ja’farasws, ‘May I be sacrificed for youasws, the Shias are asking youasws about the explanation of this Verse [78:1] What are they asking about? [78:2] About the Great News’. The Imamasws said: ‘That is up to measws to (tell you) and I leave it to you to either share with them or keep it to yourself. Then Imamasws said: ‘But Iasws will inform you of its interpretation’. I said, ‘[78:1] What are they asking about?’ The Imamasws said: ‘It is regarding Amir-ul-Momineenasws. Amir-ul-Momineenasws used to say: ‘ماهلل عزوجل آية هي أكبر مني وال هلل من نبأ أعظم مني’ ‘There is not a Sign of Allahazwj Mighty and Majestic which is greater than measws, and no News greater than measws’.46

Al Saffar – Ahmad Bin Muhammad narrated to us, from Ibn Abu Umeyr, and someone else, and Muhammad Bin Al Fazeyl, from Abu Hamza Al Sumaly,

(It has been narrated) from Abu Ja’farasws, said, when I (the narrator) asked, ‘May I be sacrificed for youasws! The Shias are asking youasws about the interpretation of this Verse [78:1] What are they asking about? [78:2] About the Great News’. Furaat Al Kufy – Ja’far Bin Muhammad Al Fazary narrated to me, from Muhammad Bin Al Husayn, from Muhammad Bin Hatim, from Abu Hamza Al-Sumaly who said,

‘I asked Abu Ja’farasws about the Words of the High [78:1] What are they asking about? [78:2] About the Great News [78:3] regarding which they are differing? So heasws said: ‘Aliasws Bin Abu Talibasws used to say to hisasws companions: ‘by Allahazwj! Iasws am the Great News with regards to which all the communities (past and present) differed with their tongues. By Allahazwj! There is not for the Sake of Allahazwj a News Greater than measws, nor for Allahazwj a Sign greater than measws’.48

Verse 38

(11يوم يقوم الروح والمالئكة صفا ال يتكلمون إال من أذن له الرحمن وقال صوابا )

[78:38] The Day on which the Spirit and the Angels shall stand in ranks; they shall not speak except he whom the Beneficent Allah permits and who speaks the right thing

قال: حدثنا ] الثعلبي [ أخبرني ابن فنجويه قال: حدثنا موسى قال: حدثنا ابن علوية قال: حدثنا إسماعيل قال: حدثنا المسيبثابت أبو حمزة، عن عامر، عن علقمة، عن ابن مسعود قال: * )الروح( * ملك عظيم أعظم من السماوات ومن الجبال

السماء الرابعة يسبح كل يوم اثني عشر تسبيحة يخلق من كل تسبيحة ملك تجئ يوم القيامة وأعظم من المالئكة وهو في .صفا واحدة

Al Sa’alby – Ibn Fanjawiya narrated to me, from Musa, from Ibn Alawiya, from Ismail, from Al Musayab, from Sabit Abu Hamza, from Aamir, from Alqamah, from Ibn Masoud who said,

‘[78:38] the Spirit – A great Angel, greater than the skies, and the mountains, and greater than the Angels, and he is in the fourth sky Glorifying every day with twelve Glorification, an Angel being Created from every Glorification, coming on the Day of Judgement in one row’.49

Ibn Kaseer – Abu Bakr Bin Ayash said, from Abu Hamza Al Sumaly, from Akrama

(It has been narrated) regarding Hisazwj Words [78:38] and who speaks the right thing – says, ‘There is no god except for Allahazwj’.50

] فرات الكوفي [ قال: حدثني القاسم بن الحسن بن حازم )خازم( القرشي قال: حدثنا الحسين بن علي النقاد عن محمد بن مد بن علي )عليهما السالم(: وقلت يابن رسول هللا حدثني بحديث دخلت على مح سنان، عن أبي حمزة الثمالي قال:

ينفعني، قال: يا أبا حمزة كل يدخل الجنة إال من أبى. قال: قلت: يابن رسول هللا أحد يأبى أن يدخل الجنة ؟ قال: نعم. قلت: من ؟ قال: من لم يقل: ال إله إال هللا محمد رسول هللا.

Furaat Al Kufy –Al Qasim Bin Al Hassan Bin Hazim Al Qarshy narrated to me, from Al Husayn Bin Ali Al Naqaad, from Muhammad Bin Sinan, from Abu Hamza Al Sumaly who said, ‘

Abu Hamza Al-Sumali said, ‘I came to Muhammadasws Bin Aliasws and I said, ‘O sonasws of Rasool-Allahsaww! Narrate to me a Hadeeth which would benefit me’. The Imamasws said: ‘O Abu Hamza! Everyone would enter the Paradise except the one who refuses to do so’. I said, ‘O sonasws of Rasool-Allahsaww! Is there anyone who would refuse to enter the Paradise?’ The Imamasws said: ‘Yes’. I said, ‘Who?’ The Imamasws said: ‘The one who does not say, ‘There is no god except for Allahazwj, and Muhammadsaww is Rasool-Allahsaww’.

ية قلت: يابن رسول هللا حسبت أن ال أروي هذا الحديث عنك، قال: ولم ؟ قلت: اني تركت المرجئة والقدرية والحروروبني امية كل يقولون: ال إله إال هللا محمد رسول هللا، فقال: ايهات ايهات، إذا كان يوم القيامة سلبهم هللا إياها فلم يقلها إال نحن وشيعتنا والباقون منها براء، أما سمعت هللا يقول: * )يوم يقوم الروح والمالئكة صفا ال يتكلمون إال من أذن له

I said, ‘O sonasws of Rasool-Allahsaww! I reckon that I should not report this Hadeeth from youasws’. The Imamasws said: ‘And why not?’ I said, ‘I left the Murjiites, and the Qadiriyya, and the Harouriyya, and the Clan of Umayya all of them saying, ‘There is no god except for Allahazwj and Muhammadsaww is Rasool-Allahsaww’. So Imamasws said: ‘Far be it! Far be it! When it will be the Day of Judgement, Allahazwj would Crucify this from them, so none would be casting it except for usasws and ourasws Shias, and the remainder of them would be disavowing it. But have you not heard Allahazwj Saying [78:38] The Day on which the Spirit and the Angels shall stand in ranks; they shall not speak except he whom the Beneficent Allah permits and who speaks the right thing. And Imamasws said: ‘(That is) the one who says, ‘There is no god except for Allahazwj, Muhammadsaww is Rasool-Allahsaww’.51

Al Saffar Al Qummy – Ahmad Bin Muhammad narrated to me, from Muhammad Bin Khalid, from Abu Nashal, from Muhammad Bin Ismail, from Abu Hamza Al Sumaly who said,

‘I heard Abu Abdullahasws say: ‘Surely, Allahazwj Created usasws from the high Illiyeen and Created the hearts of ourasws Shias from that which weasws had been created, and Created their bodies from other than that. Their hearts desire for usasws because they have been created from what weasws have been created.’ Then recited these Verses [83:18] Nay! Most surely the record of the righteous shall be in the Iliyeen. [83:19] And what will make you know what the highest Iliyeen is? [83:20] It is a written book, [83:21] Those who are drawn near (to Allah) shall witness it. ‘And Created ourasws enemies from Sijjeen, and Created their Shias from what they had been Created from and their bodies from other than that. Their hearts yearn towards them because these have been Created from that which those have been Created from.’ Then recited these Verses [83:7] Nay! Most surely the record of the wicked is in the Sijjeen. [83:8] And what will make you know what the Sijjeen is? [83:9] It is a written book’.55

[83:25] They are made to quench from of a pure drink that is sealed

Aliasws Bin Al-Husaynasws having said: ‘The one who feeds a Believer from hunger, Allahazwj would Feed him from the fruits of the Paradise; and the one who quenches a Believer from thirst, Allahazwj would Quench him from [83:25] a pure drink that is sealed’.56

Al Barqy – From his father, from Sa’dan Bin Muslim, from Abu Hamza Al Sumaly,

Abu Abdullahasws has said: ‘There is none from a Believer who feeds a Believer until he is satiated from the food, except that Allahazwj would Feed him from the food of the Paradise; and quenches him fully except that Allahazwj would Quench him from [83:25] a pure drink that is sealed’.57

Ibn Al Jowzy – Muhammad Bin Abdul Baqy gave us the news, from Abu Muhammad Al Jowhary, from Abu Bakr Muhammad Bin Abdullah Bin Ayoub Al Qatan, from Is’haq Bin Muhammad Bin Marwan, from his father, from Haseyn Bin Makharaq, from Abu Hamza Al Sumaly,

The narrator says, ‘I heard Aliasws Bin Al Husaynasws saying: ‘The Prophetsaww said: ‘The one who vigils a night from Rajab, and Fasts a day, Allahazwj would Feed him from fruits of the Paradise and Clothe him from the clothing of the Paradise, and Quench him from [83:25] a pure drink that is sealed except for the one who does three things – One who kills a soul, one who cries out for help crying out at night or day and does not help him, or his brother complains to him of a need but he does not relieve him from it’.58

Send for yourasws husbandasws to come to mesaww’. Fatimaasws said to Al-Hassanasws: ‘Go to yourasws fatherasws, say to himasws that yourasws grandfathersaww is calling youasws’. So Al-Hassanasws went to himasws to call himasws. Amir-ul-Momineenasws came over until heasws came up to the Rasool-Allahsaww, and Syeda Fatimaasws was in hissaww presence, and sheasws was saying: ‘Wah! Grief of yoursaww grief, O fathersaww!’.

بيك بعد هذا اليوم. يا فاطمة، إن النبي ال يشق عليه الجيب، و ال فقال رسول هللا )صلى هللا عليه و آله(: ال كرب على أيخمش عليه الوجه، و ال يدعى عليه بالويل، و لكن قولي كما قال أبوك على ابنه إبراهيم: تدمع العين، و قد يوجع القلب،

لمحزونون، و لو عاش إبراهيم لكان نبيا. -يا إبراهيم -و ال نقول ما يسخط الرب، و إنا بك

The Rasool-Allahsaww said: ‘Do not grieve over yourasws fathersaww after this day. O Fatimaasws, for the Prophetsaww, the enclave (grave) is not difficult for himsaww, nor with there even be a scratch upon hissaww face, nor is hesaww being called to the doom, but mysaww words are like what yourasws fathersaww said to hissaww sonas Ibrahimas (Prophet Mohammedsaww’s son who died very young): ‘The eyes shed tears, and the heart has been hurt, and we do not say that which Angers the Lordazwj, and Isaww am, by youas – O Ibrahimas – in grief, and had Ibrahimas lived, heas would have been a Prophetas’.

ثم قال: يا علي ادن مني. فدنا منه، فقال: أدخل أذنك في فمي. ففعل، فقال: يا أخي، ألم تسمع قول هللا عز و جل في كتابه: الحات أ ة؟ قال: بلى، يا رسول هللا.إن الذين آمنوا و عملوا الص قال: هم أنت و شيعتك، تجيئون غرا ولئك هم خير البري

محجلين شباعا مرويين،

Then Prophetsaww said: ‘O Aliasws! Come near mesaww. So heasws went near himsaww. Hesaww said: ‘Bring yourasws ears very close to mysaww mouth’. So heasws did it. Hesaww said: ‘O mysaww brotherasws! Have youasws not heard the Words of Allahazwj Mighty and Majestic in Hisazwj Book [98:7] (As for) those who believe and do good, surely they are the best of the created beings?’ The Imamasws said: ‘Yes’. Rasool-Allahsaww said: ‘They are youasws and yourasws Shias. You all will be coming as youths with ‘غرا محجلين’ resplendent faces.

«.معذبين، كفارا منافقين، ذاك لك و لشيعتك، و هذا لعدوك و شيعتهم

Have youasws not heard the Words of Allahazwj Mighty and Majestic in Hisazwj Book [98:6] Surely those who disbelieve from among the followers of the Book and the polytheists shall be in the fire of hell, abiding therein; they are the worst of the created beings?’ The Imamasws said: ‘Yes, O Rasool-Allahsaww!’ Hesaww said: ‘They are yourasws enemies and enemies of yourasws Shias, who will be coming on the Day of Judgement, with blackened faces, extremely thirsty, miserable, Tormented, Infidels, Hypocrites. That, would be for youasws and yourasws Shias, and this, would be for yourasws enemies and their adherents’.63

Abu Ja’farasws has said, ‘It was recited in the presence of Amir Al-Momineenasws [99:1] When the earth is shaken with her (violent) shaking – until it reached to Hisazwj Words [99:3] And the human being says: What has befallen her? [99:4] On that day she shall tell her news. Heasws said: ‘Iasws am the human being, and Iasws shall be narrating her the news’.64

that day you shall most certainly be questioned about the Bounties – is about these bounties which we have eaten in the presence of the sonasws of Rasool-Allahsaww’. So Abu Abdullahasws said: ‘Allahazwj is more Benevolent than that Heazwj would Feed you your food justifiably, then Question you all about it. But, Allahazwj has Favoured upon them with Muhammadsaww and the Progenyasws of Muhammadsaww’.65

‘Akrama was asked about [107:7] the necessities of life. He said, ‘The (covering of the) nakedness’. I said, ‘So if the man prevents by a screen, or some measure, or a bowl or something from the utensil of the house, so the woe is upon him?’ He said, ‘No! But, when he forbids from the Prayer, and prevents the necessities, so for his is the woe’.67

Abu Amro Al-Khuri read in The virtues of Syeda Fatimaasws, the daughter of Rasool-Allahsaww

and was pleased with the author Abu Al-Qasim Al-Maniyi Abdullah Bin Muhammad Bin

Abdul Aziz, narrated to us Yahya Bin Ja'far Al-Wasity who said that it was narrted from Kathir Bin Hisham who said that it was narrated from Isa, meaning Ibn Ibrahim Al-Hashimi who said that it was

narrated from Al-Thumali who said:

'I heard Aliasws Bin Al-Husaynasws saying: 'When, Rasool-Allahsaww was Blessed with Syeda Fatimaasws, so Hesaww ordered the daughter of Umays and Umm Ayman to bring (to himsaww) Syeda Fatimaasws. Hesaww read over herasws the Ayat Al-Kursy, and [7:54] Surely, your Lord is Allah, Who Created the skies and the earth in six days, then Established upon the Throne; He Covers the night over the day, which it pursues incessantly; and the sun and the moon and the stars, made subservient by His Command; surely His is the Creation and the Command; Blessed is Allah, the Lord of the Worlds and sought Refuge for herasws by the "Mawuzatain" (Surah Al-Naas and Surah Al-Falaq).71
