DESCRIPTION

This is the power point of the presentation I gave at Montrose Zion UMC for the Canal Spring District conference. The name of the workshop was "Passionate Worship" and it was (loosely) based on Robert Schnase's "Five Practices of a Fruitful Congregation." For the notes and video that go along with this power point, please visit http://theolomike.wordpress.com/workshop

PlanningTake time to sit down with many people who represent many different parts of the church.

Before you look to start anything new, assess the worship you are currently conducting. Would you describe it as passionate?

PlanningGet a feel for the worship needs of the church. Ask the questions “Are our worship needs being met?” and “Are the fruits of our worship evident?”

Above all else, pray. Ask God how you can best serve your congregation in worship.

How We DifferWe use a laid back yet structured format which provides a comfortable atmosphere.
