In the 1950s when Steve and Gayle Henson ran the Hidden Valley Guest Ranch near Santa Barbara, Steve

was famous for his vibrant storytelling and his original Ranch salad dressing. Guests loved to take home this

unique dressing that combined the flavor of Steve’s days on the Alaskan frontier with subtle herbal notes.

Overwhelming popularity led him to market his Ranch dressing and later add Italian, Caesar, Blue Cheese

and other favorites.
