� Recent research* shows that formal youth leadership training is sadly lacking in our western society and that any leadership skills gained by adolescents is often by default through participation in youth organisations.
� This research concludes that all young people have the potential for leadership and that formal training is needed to successfully prepare young people for moving into the modern workingenvironment.
