Jeep, you made my 4x4 low not operate after the N23 recall. This is an epidemic with all vehicles that had the N23 recall yet every time I talk to your dealer or customer service I am some how the ONLY one with the problem. Yet the transfer case actuator (which you think is the fix, which it isn'tt) is on back order for months. People have had the actuator replaced to have the issue happen again.

We are all getting frustrated that you have not admitted that there is a problem with the N23 recall and working toward a solution.

Its a software problem not a hardware problem. Throwing parts at this wont fix it.

BusalacchiKen I just cannot believe that Jeep is doing nothing about this - there are hundreds of people on jeep and rv forums with the same problem (no 4 Low or neutral) after the recall is performed. If they do not fix this issue I will NEVER EVER buy another Chrysler/Jeep product - new or used.

WittwerRolf The latest Jeep software update should correct the "Service 4WD System" gremlin caused by the N23 Recall. The dealer's technician can find it in the wiTECH system under TCM. If the reflash is performed exactly as prescribed in the latest Help instructions the fault will disappear unless there is a fault in the circuit, such as the transfer case actuator, terminals or wiring harness.

SiuHenry I just bought an 08 WK CRD a couple months ago. I decided to put it into 4Low for kicks and bam. Got rejected with the SERVICE 4WD SYSTEM. Coincidently, the trail rated badge was just removed too by the body shop.

CookKelly I took my 2006 in for the recall and then all of a sudden it wouldn't go into 4wd low. $900 later they changed the shift actuator and now it goes into 4 low but does not shift thru the gears. Even on the highway I can not get it to go into 1,2,3,or 4 unless it is in haul mode and then it drops to 4th. UnserChris Jeep's TSB 21-022-14 has repaired the 'Service 4wd' error code caused by Jeep recall N23, but Jeep refuses to pay for the TSB work to repair the problem they caused. Ridiculous.October 14, 2014 at 12:39pm

DonatiJoan Had the recall done in the spring. I just went hunting in mountains of WY. I was driving down a trail when it started raining. I tried to shift into 4low and nothing. I barely made it back to the main road. It is the first time I tried to shift to 4low since the recall. Jeep it is obvious that a lot of

ThomsonRoss Same problem here. 4-Low stopped working after N23 recall. Codes cleared down twice using StarMobile. Works for anywhere between 1 day to 1 month before "service 4wd " comes back.
