8/40 booking visit • Safeguarding assessment • Chlamydia screening offered (both parents)
Complex medical problems or coil wanted
Risky sexual behaviour
Weymouth and Portland
Refer to CASH specialist Refer to The Park Centre, Weymouth
1 hour appt at sexual health clinic • Introduction • CSE risk assessment • Post-partum contraceptive options • Chlamydia screening if not done • Book appt at 2 weeks post-partum • E-mail teenage pregnancy midwife
with plan /concerns / if DNA
28/40 booking visit • Discuss post-partum contraceptive options • Offer referral to sexual health team
Delivery
Able to provide contraception immediately
SDI or Depo-Provera asap, IUS or IUCD within 48 hours
Inform sexual health team
Not able to provide contraception immediately
Book follow-up appt if needed • Repeat Depo-Provera (12 weeks) • Coil check (6 weeks) • Nuisance bleeding with SDI
Inform sexual health team of delivery, confirm appt time
