About Event
Automation is considered to be the backbone of any system and
services in modern environment, but technological enhance-
ment makes things obsolete quickly. So to cope with these
changes and user’s requirement the automation solutions need
to be upgraded for next generation. Many of the libraries espe-
cially in developing countries are still facing difficulties for the
automation of the libraries but Open source solutions has re-
solved such issues up to some extent.
The complete five-day event is planned in such a way that par-
ticipants can get a hands-on experience on most popular open
source ILMS Koha and digitization solution DSpace. Various
present and future challenges will be shared by experts from
several domain of knowledge during conference and workshop.
Advance level training will be provided to a limited number of
participants from various corner of the country, and the limited
number of papers will be accepted for presentation and publica-
tions in a conference volume. Best paper presentation award
will be given to participant for their contribution.

papers, etc. on any areas of library automation technologies.
Paper submission guidelines
1. Contribution must be original and not published elsewhere.
2. Title and subtitle must be in 14 point bold Times New Roman
and rest of the text should be 12 point Times New Roman.
3. Title should be followed by Contributor (s) name in full, affili-
ation, designation, email, contact number.
4. Informative abstract of about 150/200 should be included.
5. Heading and sub-heading should be in bold font.
6. Text line spacing should not be more/less than 1.5 and paper
length must be within 10 pages with 1” margins from all side.
7. Full paper must be proper structured.
8. References must be in APA style.
9. First author have to give declaration about the originality of
the article and other responsibility of the contents.
10. The article will be reviewed and send back for modifications if
required.
11. Paper will be only published in conference Volume if at
least one author will be registered.

About NIT Rourkela
NIT Rourkela is one of the premier national level institutions
for technical education in the country and is funded by the
Government of India. The main objective of the Institute is to
produce quality Engineers and Scientists in UG, PG and Ph.D.

About B.P. Central Library
Biju Patnaik Central Library (BPCL) is the central library of
the NIT Rourkela. The Library caters to the educational and
research needs of the academic community and its resources
are consulted by scholars from all over the country. Biju Pat-
naik, a great social reformer set up Regional Engineering Col-
lege, Rourkela. BPCL has started functioning since 1965.
At present, the library holds about 84,000+ books and 18,000+
back volumes of periodicals. BPCL subscribed to many reputed
databases, thousands of online journals, e-books, standards, etc. The BPCL is automated with ILMS koha and modernized with
Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) . Library uses exten-
sively many open source solution like, Joomla, DSpace, Eprint,
etc. and impart training on the same at national level. We have
