Aim and ScopeThe 47th National Seminar on Crystallography

(NSC47) is being organized by Bhabha AtomicResearch Centre in association with IndianCrystallographic Association (ICA), NationalCommittee of INSA for IUCr and Neutron ScatteringSociety of India (NSSI) in BARC, Mumbai duringJune 19-22, 2019. The national seminar oncrystallography is an annual event of ICA, andNCS47 provides an excellent opportunity forcrystallographers from all over the country to meetand deliberate on complimentary aspects ofcrystallographic research using Neutrons and X-rays. Apart from this, structure elucidation throughthe techniques of electron scattering and NuclearMagnetic Resonance will also be discussed.

It is a great pleasure to welcome scientistsworking in all the aspects of crystallography andcrystal growth to share their observations,scientific experience and achievements in thismeeting. The NSC47 will also provide opportunitiesto young researches to interact with scientistworking in major national facilities in the country,like the National Facility for Neutron BeamResearch in Bhabha Atomic Research Center,Mumbai and the Synchrotron Facility, RRCAT,Indore.

The meeting will cover different aspects ofcrystallographic research ranging from neutron,synchrotron and electron crystallography, smallmolecule crystallography, macro molecularstructures, crystal growth and characterization,powder diffraction, functional materials,crystallography under extreme conditions etc tocapture developments being made in crystalengineering on multiple fronts. The programmecommittee has organized a rich scientificprogramme of plenary talks, invited talks, oral andposter presentations so that there is maximuminteraction between the experienced researchers

and the beginners.
