EARTH´S REVOLUTION

JAVIER IGLESIASWe are going to explain the Earth´s Rotation and the Earth´s Revolution .

THE EARTH´S ROTATIONThe Earth rotates around its axis. This is called the EARTH´S ROTATION. One rotation takes 24 hours and this is called THE MEAN SOLAR DAY.

JAVIER DE LAS HERASWhen one side of the Planet has day, the opposite side has night. Day and night are caused by the Rotation. EDUARDO SÁNCHEZWhen we are facing the Sun, this is called DAYTIME and when we are facing away from the Sun, this is called NIGHT-TIME.

THE EARTH´S REVOLUTION

PAULA BUSTOSThe Earth´s orbit around the Sun is called THE EARTH´S REVOLUTION. It takes 365 days to complete one orbit. This is called ONE FULL YEAR. The Earth´s orbit is not circular, it is elliptical. DIANA SÁNCHEZThere are four seasons: Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter. The seasons are caused by the inclination of the Earth´s axis. THE AXIS TILT THE EARTH.
