    INTRODUCTION

    Hi, my name is, Paul Ramnora. I was born/brought up/and, do live in UK/London. My

    current age is 47 years old.

    Right throughout my life I've had the good fortune of being able to read poetry; indeed, my

    favourite poet of all time is, Shakespeare; but, I never had the good fortune of being able to

    write it; I might very rarely try a quick experiment or two; but, I never before in my life tried

    creating a whole entire book full of poems; mainly, I guess, through believing that nobody else

    would ever wish to go read it...?! However, now, that I've grown considerably older; I'm

    starting to feel like everything is worth a try, at least, once; and, if you fail you fail; and, if you

    succeed you succeed; and, either way, so what?!

    My apologies if my poetry doesn't seem to follow any type of strictly 'fixed' format; but, that's

    because I'm still working away on experimenting; trying to teach myself which is the best

    format to use; for example, which visual layout does truly work best to suit which particular

    poem.../or, should I write either formal/or, informal poetry...structured/or,

    unstructured...rhymed/or, unrhymed...???/-Etc.

    Finally, I would like to say, thanks very much, indeed, for sparing enough of your precious

    time and effort to go read through these; and, hopefully, you will find the mental exercise to

    be both enjoyable and worthwhile. ;-)

    ACROSTIC

    Meaning...

    An acrostic poem is a composition where the sequential position of letters...say, first letter/or,

    last letter...forms a word/or, even, possibly, forms a phrase; that is, when the poem is being

    read going in strict order...say, vertically downwards. For example,...

    It is impossible to love others;If you cannot truly learn to go love yourself;

    Because you must accept yourself, first;

    long before you can ever learn to accept anybody else.

    Realise, the one universal truth,

    that no human being is, 'perfect!'

    Having patience, understanding and forgiveness,

    is, therefore, the secret of life.

    Easy to say, maybe...;

    Rebellion

    We are not from this or that same planet;We are not from this or that same country;

    We are not from this or that same race;

    We are not from this or that same family;

    We are not from this or that same religion;

    We are not from this or that same political group.

    Instead, I only want to be

    FREE

    To be

    ME!

    And, follow

    my own mind/heart

    wishes.

    Therefore,

    My looks/thinking/feeling/behaviour/acting/tongue

    are all entirely different

    to the rest of you;

    because I was born to be

    a total outsider.

    Personally speaking, I got no problem

    with any of that at all;

    but, then, again,

    do you?!

    You who do always want/

    indeed, seem to needeverybody to be

    exactly the same;

    so that, I guess,

    you can control them.

    Well, Im afraid,

    Im just completely different;

    and, also, utterly uncontrollable;

    right up until the very day that IDIE!

    Rejection vs Acceptance

    In some ways,I kind of like rejection;

    and, being all alone;

    because, it sets me free,

    to be exactly who it is that I do truly wish to be;

    as opposed to how others do wish me to become,

    which is a lot more like them;

    by either conciously/or else, unconsciously

    forcing me to go fit in

    with others.

    And, yet, still another part of me

    does really and truly wish to fit in;

    because it feels far more natural

    to be a part of the group;

    they say that in a group of goldfish,

    the one that you find swimming entirely by themselves

    all alone,

    is, usually,

    a sick fish!

    Buried girl treasures

    There are certain girl(s) who have becomealmost like being a total obsession to me;

    such as those who Ive met, and, can never forget;

    because, Im not willing to surrender up

    their really far too precious memory;

    like a jewel thats buried deep inside of my mind

    for all the rest of sweet Eternity to come!

    Misery

    Misery is loving you...;and, just not knowing what on earth

    I'm going to do about it;

    Because you make me feel far too shy?!

    Misery is caring so much that it,

    well and truly, hurts

    me

    anytime when you are not near.

    Misery is being willing

    to give you all that I got;

    whilst, at the same time, fearing that I

    honestly don't have enough to give,

    that could make you feel

    well and truly satisfied,

    or, happy?!

    Misery is to over-idealise you;

    which I can't seem to stop

    myself from doing, continually, all the time;

    as I feel you are high and I am low;

    therefore, I'm just NOT worthy!

    Misery is just worrying far too much

    about what could ever go wrong between us;

    when I do so desperately want everything to go

    totally right, instead.

    Misery is knowing that I don't believe

    I could ever live without you;

    and, even if I lost you in Reality;

    then, I must still be able to find you, again...;

    even if it's only in my Dreams, alone.

    Misery is all this and more...;

    The sheer misery of falling in love

    with somebody who you doabsolutely

    yet, it hears...;

    though it have no eyes;

    yet, it sees...;

    though it have no hands;

    yet, it touches...;

    yet, it talks...;

    though, it have no nose;

    yet, it smells...; and, only of pure 100% roses!

    Living with PTSD/Post Traumatic Stress Disorder...

    It hit me;And, when it hit me,

    It hurt me awfully hard;

    Struck me

    through and through;

    like Id never ever been struck before;

    Struck me

    Somewhere near the very core

    Of my being;

    Repeated strikes,

    All aimed straight into

    The Unconscious!

    Leaving my ego very badly bruised;

    Heart a-bleeding;

    Self-confidence all battered

    Right down to the ground;

    I felt evil, bitter, sick for revenge!

    Very slowly, and, gradually

    I healed upa-fresh.

    At least, on the outside;

    But, inside

    I remained very deeply wounded.

    Hypnotism session

    I'm afraid!But, afraid of what, though?

    Afraid of absolutely everything,

    and, more..!

    Hypnotize him,

    Relax each muscle, one at a time,

    Until when the body has been left totally limp;

    Down, deeper down we go,

    Into the pitch black darkness,

    turning back through all the pages of Time;

    that have been eternally etched

    inside the endless groves of ones mind.

    There he is,

    My first cousin;

    My mum's sister's son;

    And, best friend;

    As an only child

    He is as close to me

    As being an actual brother;

    after all, we both grew up

    inside of the one same family house.

    Because he is 5 years older than me,

    And, we both go to the same Primary school

    Me to the Junior's/and, him to the Seniors;

    therefore, I also looked up to him

    as being my ever faithful friend,and, true protector.

    He held a knive in his hand,

    Which he seemed to be playing with

    Rather angrily.

    I took one good look

    and, said,

    "You wouldn't kill me with that?"and, his reply to me was

    "No, but, I would stab you!"

    Staring really hard into both of his cold eyes

    I could, quite clearly, see

    He wasn't kidding me, neither;The face of a true psychopath,

    Fiercely lacking in all empathy.

    From ever since then

    No man ever got close to me

    ever again;

    I think, I might have been

    aged somewhere around 8

    or, possibly, even less...

    1, 2, 3,

    Fingers suddenly snapping,

    And, a calm and gentle voice,

    musically commands...

    WIDE AWAKE!
