– 1.260 km sliproads
– approx 110km rush hour lanes
• Structures: 6.000 (also on mainwaterways)
– 2.843 viaducts on highways
– 767 moveable and fixed bridges on highways
– 24 tunnels
– 33 ecoducts
• DTM (6 control centres, 108 DRIPS, 2.000 cameras)
• Area control
– winter ice, roadside and restplace management, lights, signage, guidingrails, noise barriers …

• Skid resistance : <0,51 (at 80km/h)

Maintenance prediction

• One safety level for all
but uniform norms have different outcomes– less traffic and load - longer service life time
– more traffic and load - shorter service life time
• Maintenance condition dependent
based on yearly measurements and inspections– too early results in capital loss
– too late is unsafe and more expensive
• Noise reducing surface layers combined with
carriageway wide maintenance
