This Fall PBS39 will take you...into the ballpark,the american songbook,the scene of the crime,the edge of controversy.
Thousands of bats, three home runrecords, and one “curse” have been bro-ken since Ken Burns last explored the his-tory of BASEBALL. Now Burns andco-director Lynn Novick continue the se-ries with “THE TENTH INNING,” with twonew episodes that celebrate the institu-tion of baseball. Series begins September28th at 8:00pm.
Find a blend of cultural history, intimatebiography and musical performance in“Michael Feinstein’s American Songbook.”This three-part documentary style road-trip, begins Wednesdays, Oct 6, 13, and 20,and follows the history of American popu-lar song.
Explore the intersection of political strug-gle and spiritual experiences in the livesof key American historical figures in thethree-part presentation of “God In Amer-ica,” beginning Monday, October 11 - 13 at9:00pm.
And Kenneth Branagh returns, in threenew episodes, as detective Kurt Wallanderin Masterpiece Mystery’s Wallander, SeriesII, Sundays at 9:00pm.
