4. MATERIALS / EQUIPMENT FOR CONCRETE:
1. Cement
2. Fine Aggregate
3. Coarse Aggregate
4. Clean Water and measuring bucket.
5. Mixture Machine – Drum size with hopper and weight batcher
6. Slump Cone
5. PROCEDURE:
1. Based on the design of structure the grades of concrete shall be predefined for different structures.
2. Proportioning of ingredients of concrete shall be made by only by the nominal mix.
3. The cement used shall normally be 43/53 Grade Ordinary Portland cement conforming to IS: 8112. Rapid Hardening Portland Cement conforming to IS: 8041, Low Heat Cement conforming to IS: 269, Supersulphated Cement conforming to IS: 6909 etc may be used as required if permitted by Client. The cement content shall be as per mix design or as specified in specification.
4. Coarse Aggregate of sizes ranging between 4.75 mm and 12 mm will be termed as coarse aggregate and conforming to IS: 383
5. Fine Aggregate smaller than 4.75 mm and within the grading limits and other requirement set in IS: 383 shall be used.
6. Water used for concrete shall be clean and free from oil, acid, alkali, organic matter or other harmful mater.
7. As per the construction programme the required concrete ingredients shall be estimated and procured well in advance. The source of materials should be the same with which the design mix has been carried out.
8. Concrete ingredients shall be tested and the results shall be confirmed with IS codes and specification and get approved.
