PCW MANIFOLD SOLUTION A newly designed Process Cooling Water (PCW) Supply and Return (PCWS & PCWR) Facility Manifold has been released expanding our already diverse product offering portfolio. This PCWS/PCWR Facility Manifold distribution system includes branch point of contacts (POCs) for water and nitrogen and is capable of accommodating multiple tools as each POC has its own set of options including compression fittings, hose barbs and cam lock outlets. Evaluate and divide your motors into two categories: 1. Motors that are significantly oversized and under loaded should be replaced with more efficient, properly sized models at the next opportunity (such as scheduled PM) or when they fail. 2. Motors that are properly sized but standard efficiency and replace with energy-efficient models when they fail. Identifying under-utilized motors offers many users an opportunity to reduce operating costs by driving loads more efficiently and ultimately saving energy and saving money. Full-Load-Amperage (FLA) refers to the amount of current (amps) the motor will draw from the electrical system when producing its rated output horsepower; also referred to as Running Amps, Rated Amps, or just Amps. Full Load Current (FLC) is a term often confused with FLA. FLC is the maximum current a motor of a given horsepower can draw and is used to calculate the size of the fuse or Motor Control Protector (MCP). This MCP is sized large enough to allow the momentary inrush current of the motor to not trip the breaker, but low enough to trip on short circuit conditions Quite often motors are mismatched or oversized for the load they are intended to serve or have been rebuilt multiple times. The range of good efficiencies vary with individual motors as shown in Figure 1 (Ref: DOE/GO-10097-517). Most electric motors maximum efficiency is usually near 75% of rated load where an efficiency tends to decrease dramatically below about 50% load. Determining if your motors are properly loaded enables you to make informed decisions about when to replace motors and which replacements to choose. PCW MANIFOLD SOLUTIONA newly designed Process Cooling Water (PCW) Supply and Return (PCWS & PCWR) Facility Manifold has been released expanding our already diverse product offering portfolio.

This MCP is sized large enough to allow the momentary inrush current of the motor to not trip the breaker, but low enough to trip on short circuit conditions

Quite often motors are mismatched or oversized for the load they are intended to serve or have been rebuilt multiple times.
