Introduction

Thank you, for considering sponsorship of the Triple Threat Club Basketball program orone of our many community events.

There are several benefits to sponsor our team’s activities:

Be involved in one of the fastest growing sports in Canada. The numberof young men and women who have involved themselves in basketball hasincrease volumes over the last 5 years. The general excitement for the sportreceived a boost in popularity when the Canadian Men’s National teamfinished 7th at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney, Australia with a recordof 5 wins and only 2 loses (2nd best record in the tournament).

Position your organization with an attractive demographic. 90% ofplayers involved in elite basketball programs will attend or graduate from afour-year college. All of our athletes are between the ages of 14 – 18 andspend an average of $ 1,500 per year on sporting goods/ athletic purchases.

There are several ways to support the club:• Sponsor the club• Donate money to become an official team sponsor• Offer our team members a discount on merchandise or services• Donate products/services to the team to be raffled at our tournaments.

Sponsor a tournament:• Donate money to become an event sponsor• Donate products or services for a tournament• Provide volunteer support at tournaments

Triple Threat Club Basketball Team

The Lower Mainland of British Columbia (Vancouver, Richmond,Burnaby, North Vancouver) with a population of over 2,000,000.

The club membership will be approximately 72 players (36 male and 36female) on our teams as well as between 300 - 500 kids involved in ourcamps and clinics.

The purpose of the Triple Threat Basketball Club is to provide ourplayers with a program that is based around opportunity anddevelopment.

The Triple Threat developmental goals are to better and develop –1. Each player's physical and mental skills and abilities2. Each individual's character skills.

We expect each player to learn how to compete, bedisciplined/dedicated and understand the importance of team basketball.We encourage our players to respect the game and in return the gamewill respect them.

We give our players opportunity in a couple of facets:1. Opportunity to have knowledgeable and dedicated coaches.2. Opportunity to play at the highest competitive levels.

By offering these opportunities we believe each player will greatlyimprove their overall talents and enter post secondary basketball as apolished and fundamentally sound player.

MerchandiseWe also accept product donations. Our team maintains a strong presence at tournamentsthroughout the province. We can also setup product booths at our 3 tournaments and raffleoff donated merchandise. This provides a win-win, the team receives funds and your productreceives exposure to 100 - 250 elite athletes as well as 200 - 500 spectators each day.

Team DiscountsIf your organization cannot provide a monetary or product donation we also are interested inteam member discounts. We encourage our team members and friends to support oursponsors!

Our EventsTriple Threat organizes many community events to (1) encourage participation inbasketball and (2) to fund the activities of the club.

Our events can only take place with the strong participation and support of our sponsors.

Fall Brawl

An elite spring league involving 16 - 24 of the top teams from theLower Mainland and the Fraser Valley. This league is a greatbridge between the school season and the summer Provincialteam season.

A full court 3 on 3 tournament that combines the compact play of3 on 3 basketball with the exciting transition play of regular 5 on5 basketball. This event often attracts players from the islandand the interior because it is a one day event.

A club tournament that would involve 16 – 24 of the top clubteams from across the province. This event would be co-hostedwith Basketball BC.

A fundamental basketball camp aimed at children 9 - 12. Thecamp covers all the basketball basics: Shooting, passing,dribbling, and defense.

An elite camp aimed at children 13 - 15. This camp is designedto challenge young athletes, help them set goals, and give themdrills and advice on how to reach these goals.

A club basketball tournament that would include16 - 24 teamsfrom BC, Alberta and the US.

A fundamental fall league involving 8 – 12 U15 teams from theLower Mainland and the Fraser Valley. This league will beaimed at developing the fundamentals of younger playersheading into their basketball season
