Peace one day occurs on 21st September each year. Peace one day led a successful campaign to pass UN resolution or A United Nations resolution which is a formal text adopted by United Nations body, they recognizing this day as a day of global ceasefire and non-violence and invites individuals to commemorate the International Day of Peace through education and public awareness also to cooperate with the UN in the establishment of the global ceasefire.

The life saving activities is began to take place on Peace Day 2006 which the World Food Programme delivered 30 tonnes o food to Southern Sudan immunization programs in nine countries and the International Rescue Committee reunited a former child soldier with her family.

Guerilla advertising !  Guerrilla advertising is an advertising strategy, which is done using very little money to make big impacts on a large group of people. They can become very popular and even viral either over the Internet or just by people

going to see them in real life. There are different types of guerrilla advertising like:

!  Buzz marketing

!  Undercover marketing

!  Astroturfing

!  Experiential marketing

!  Tissue-pack marketing

!  Live-in marketing

!  Wait marketing

!  Reverse Graffiti

!  Viral marketing

!  Presence marketing

!  Wild Posting Campaigns

!  Alternative marketing

!  Forehead advertising

Viral marketing !   Viral marketing is a technique used where existing social networks

such as Facebook, Twitter and YouTube as well as other technologies to increase brand awareness of a certain company or organization.

Wild posting campaigns !   Wild posting also known as Flyposting is a form of guerrilla

advertising and is a technique where placing advertising posters or flyers in legal or illegal places. The posters themselves are typically made of a lightweight paper and printed using digital or screen-printing. Modern printing techniques allow the posters to feature full color designs, halftones and photographs making them popular for advertising things such as concerts, political messages, commercial advertisements and special events.

Forehead advertising !   Forehead advertising is a method of guerrilla advertising

where someone’s forehead is used for an advertising space. The forehead would usually be home of a temporary tattoo where a message will be written. This would usually be a message that is specific to the thing that is advertising. Some people nowadays even rent out their body for use in different advertising campaigns!

Undercover Marketing !   Undercover marketing is a subset of guerrilla advertising which

can also be known as stealth marketing. This is where the consumer doesn’t necessarily know that they are being targeted. An example f this type of advertising might be to pay an actor to use a certain product visibly and convincingly in locations where target consumers may be at the times. An ideal place may be a tube station where a large group of people is. While there, the actors will also talk god about their product and hand out sample to the people that the campaign is targeting.

Reverse graffiti

!   Reverse Graffiti is advertising using pavements and walls. These can be simple words and can be made using stencils and pressure washers. There is no color in these campaigns there simple and stand out on the pavement.

Alternative Marketing

!   Alternative Marketing is using different ideas to advertise products and campaigns rather than using ordinary techniques like posters and adverts.

!   This picture is Sony advertising there new Sing Star game by putting a PlayStation into a bus stop so that people can test out the game while on there way to work or when there out shopping. This attracts many people as its not usually what is at bus stops so even if people don’t want to play the game they get attracted by this and want to see what it is that’s happening.

Astroturfing

! Astroturfing is using normal people to sell a product. If you watch an advert about a product and there is normal people giving good feedback about the product, this is fake and this is astroturfing.

Our Ideas Lee Jarrold, Mae Bradshaw, Ploy Thepmalai, Daniel Trinnaman, Jayd Burrell

Idea #1 This is our first idea we called it ‘Stop and Think’ the idea is where on world peace day and on the surrounding weeks Bus stops would have the stop and think idea on them where people would sit. The light bulbs would represent the people at the stops thinking about all those who fight in war and are there to represent peace.

This idea works internationally as it can be placed on bus stops all around the world although the writing would be in different languages. Here are some examples of the bus stop in china (above) and in our local area (left)

Idea #2 This is our second idea. It came from the term PEACE as in PIECE like a piece of a puzzle.

This puzzle is very interactive and is an idea where a select group of people would come together and create a puzzle using a range of different pieces to create the Peace One Day logo. The event would take part during the peace one day period.

the event would take place in multiple different locations all over the world in places such as large shopping centers and train stations and a randomly selected group will receive a piece of a puzzle when they make a transaction at either a shop or a ticket booth.

The pieces of the puzzle have a location such as the ‘center of the shopping Centre’ followed by a time where the lucky people would all come together to construct the puzzle to raise awareness of the peace one day campaign.

Here is our idea put into a situation in a shopping center. The puzzle would be made on a large scale so it is engaging to a large group of people.

Idea #3

This  is  a  bus  with  a  girl,  which  is  basically  holding  a  4lower  and  giving  it  to  people  who  walk  on  and  off  of  the  bus.    The  girl  would  be  on  both  sides  so  she  would  be  seen  more.  She  would  be  interacting  with  people,  as  it  would  be  like  she  is  giving  a  4lower  to  them  that  is  peaceful  and  not  violent.

Idea #4

This  is  a  ordinary  wall  with  the  image  of  a  soldier  shooting  his  gun.  Out  from  the  gun  comes  4lowers  and  leaves  and  in  the  middle  of  the  4lowers  are  the  bullet  holes  which  are  mixing  them  both  together.  It  would  be  on  most  walls  around  the  world  to  have  more  of  a  global  effect.

Idea #5

This  is  an  idea  for  the  peace  one  day.  The  idea  is  that  chocolate

should  be  shared  among  groups  of  people,  to  promote  peace.  The  idea  is  that  chocolate  boxes  will  be

placed  on  streets  around  London,  where  large  amount  of  people

pass.  Then  they  will  be  encouraged  to  share  the  chocolate  they  receive.  This  will  make

conversations  and  shows  act  of  peace,  as  people  from  different  backgrounds  will  share  chocolate

with  each  other.

This  is  an  image  showing  what  the  poster  might  look  like  to  promote  the  event.  The  poster  will  be  put  on  bus  stops,  billboards,  basically  places  where

people  can  view  and  read  the  poster.

Idea #6

On  this  picture,  I  try  to  make  it  like  a  poster,  which  will  make  people  think  about  Peace  One  Day.  You  can  see  that  the  men  are  figh=ng  in  the  centre  with  a  howitzer  cannon  on

le?  hand  side  which  can  refer  to  the  war  that  point  to  them.  However,  the  figh=ng  people  did  not  think

about  old  man  who  sat  behind  them  and  he  did  nothing  but  if  howitzer  shoots  at  those  to  stop  figh=ng  like  in  war  that  they  fight  to  solve  a

problem  and    cause  many  problem  for  other  people,  like  this  old  man  in

this  poster.
