Peacock Group of Companies was founded on excellence. At its very core is the unyielding quest to seek creative and sustainable solutions to life’s diverse needs and challenges. Peacock College UK epitomizes this lofty ideal: a professional institute, which develops leaders with capacity to manage change in a dynamic business environment.

This is why our thoughtful and well-appointed selection of programmes cover a broad range of courses in contemporary management, tourism and leadership. In selection, design and tuition our professional training programmes are aimed at honing skills and producing the complete leader in business and management. Staff is a critical ingredient for quality serving organizations. Trainings often attribute their success to effective

workers, and research shows that professional development can enhance the skills of both new and long-time staffers. Though the concept of professional development is not new, its significance for workers has been gaining momentum slowly. You cannot blame your workers for being inefficient if you do not provide them accurate training and personal development programmes.

I am delighted to present our first Course Brochure for the 2012/2013 session. It is a product of months of painstaking work by the Leadership Team of the College. Comprehensive but by no means exhaustive, the Brochure represents our very first step in formally presenting our programmes and services to our prospective delegates and participants; it opens a window to our programmes. It is a showcase of our state of the art facilities and superbly conducive learning environment. It is at once a course guide and a rich data base on the College.

As you open these pages, I offer you my firm assurances that we shall keep faith with every word in it. It is our bond.

I really do look forward to welcoming you to Peacock College UK.

Encouraging a Learning Environment

Peacock College UK uses Accelerated Learning (AL), a method that begins with the premise that each person is capable of much, much more than they think is possible. AL assumes that our own limiting beliefs about ourselves, our abilities and learning itself often get in the way of our learning potential.

Accelerated Learning design appeals to all learning and processing styles. The Accelerated Learning design is an open system that provides enough of the right kind of structure to give guidance and ensure success time and time again. You will find many different AL cycles using various names for the key element.

In Peacock College tutors create multiple opportunities for individual and group experiences that enable participants to move beyond those limiting beliefs and tap into their inner wisdom, their hidden potential. The Peacock College UK Tutor, the learning environment and the design of the learning process are key determining factors in the success of learning and development of the capacity to learn.

Peacock College creates and maintains a safe and stimulating learning environment. In Peacock College programmes, Learners see the important content on the walls. Music supports learning and retention. Movement and interaction with one another and the content is encouraged. The physical and emotional environment provides safety and invites learners to experiment and grow.

LEADING & CONDUCTING EFFECTIVE MEETINGS

What is it about and who is it for?

Meetings. “Where one person keeps minutes and others waste hours.” Is that true of your meetings? Because if it is, then your meetings are like those described by J K Galbraith – “Indispensable when you don’t want to do anything.”

However, there is no doubt that meetings are expensive and not all meetings achieve their objectives – if, indeed, any objectives have been set. This course will ensure that your meetings are effective and worthwhile. There are good meetings and there are bad meetings. Bad meetings drone on forever, you never seem to get to the point, and you leave wondering why you were even present. Effective ones leave you energized and feeling that you've really accomplished something.

The process of obtaining financing for an infrastructure/PPP project is among the most complicated tasks that governments undertake. Many government officials are not familiar with what investors really seek in a project, and how they make decisions. Such challenges have been compounded by the difficulty of raising financing in the wake of the global financial crisis. The demand for infrastructure assets is strong, even in the midst of the global financial crisis.
