MASS: Action of Christ

The celebration of Mass, as the action of

Christ and of the People of God arrayed hier-

archically, is the centre of the whole of

Christian life for the Church both universal

and local, as well as for each of the faithful

individually. For in it is found the high point

both of the action by which God sanctifies

the world in Christ and of the worship that

the human race offers to the Father, adoring

him through Christ, the Son of God, in the

Holy Spirit. GIRM 16

AUSTRALIA DAY PRAYER We bless you, God of the universe, for this land, for its contrasts of landscape and climate, for its abundance of wealth and opportunity. We bless you for our history, with all its struggle in adversity, its courage and hope, Give us in our diversity tolerance and respect for each other and a passionate commitment to justice for all. Bless us so that we might be a blessing to oth-ers. We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
