GLUI!G -When using PEARLWORKS resin products always use glue or adhesive for a permanent bond.Most woodworking glues and adhesives will work with resin products. In 2007 Pearlworks started developing its ownline of Adhesives, Glazes and Finish Products. We are proud to announce these new items are now available!All of our new products have been developed exclusively for Resin and Resin/hybrid Products.

!AILI!G - Use only 23 gauge pneumatic nail guns when nailing PEARLWORKS resin components. Using largernails on polyester resin will cause parts to crack or shatter. Larger nail guns can be used for superflex mouldings andon the wood portions of hybrid mouldings.

SCREWS - Larger components will need to be attached with screws. When using screws pre-drilling is required toprevent cracking or splitting. Pearlworks recommends using square drive trim head screws. This type of wood screw hasa very small head which lessens the risk of a stress fracture. Remember always use a good adhesive when installingPearlworks products.

FILLI!G -Any nail or screw holes can be filled with standard wood putty or Bondo. The use of 23 gauge nailsvirtually eliminates the need to fill nail holes. Any gaps, cracks or joints in resin product installations can be filled thesame way as wood products with putty, caulk or our favorite bondo.

• All invoices, shipping agreements, and credit card authorization forms will be faxed directly to thecustomer for their approval. Once approved and returned to Pearlworks, the order will then be processed.

• Due to constant product research and development, all product pricing and part numbers may changewithout notice. The customer must review all part numbers, descriptions, and prices before approval.

• When ordering moulding, please allow 20% additional footage for pattern repeat. Some radius-mouldingorders will require a template with your order.

• All cancellations of orders that are in production will be subject to a service fee of $25.00, or 5% of thetotal order (whichever is greater).

• Freight and handling charges on orders refused by the consignee will be charged to the buyer.

TERMS:

SHIPPI!G:

• If your order is in stock, it typically ships within 2-4 business days after your final approval. Largeorders will take longer.

• Orders are shipped via FEDEX ground or common carrier, depending on size and weight. Pleasespecify if priority shipping is desired.

• Requests for shipping cost cannot be accommodated until order is actually packaged.• “Same Day Shipping” requests for priority shipments will be assessed a 25% surcharge. The requestmust be approved by the customer in writing by 11:00 AM Pacific Standard Time.

RETUR!S:

• Returns will be accepted until 180 days after delivery date.• All returns must be approved by Pearlworks. We will issue a RMA return merchandise authorizationnumber to you. This number must be clearly written on the returning box or it will be refused.

• All returns must be in saleable condition.• All shipping cost on returned products are the responsibility of the customer.• All returns are subject to a restocking fee as per our restock fee schedule.

WARRA!TY:

• If after careful inspection of your Pearlworks components, you feel there is a defect that renders apart unusable, please notify us in writing within 48 hours of receiving your delivery.

• Finishing or installing a component infers that you have accepted same and nullifies any warrantyclaim.

• Pearlworks liability shall not exceed the replacement cost of the defective part only, including shippingand handling.

• All wood mouldings must be maintained under stable humidity and temperature conditions for anywarranty to apply.

• All flexible mouldings will split or crack if bent beyond our specified minimum radius limits.• All sizes of parts in catalog are approximate. Example: If you are building columns to go with either ofour bases or plinth blocks, it is mandatory that you buy samples of these parts before you make any ofthe columns. All resin ornamentation will vary slightly in size due to the delicate nature of the curingprocess of resin. Please make sure all parts work together before placing your order.

• Some of our more delicate designs can be fragile, because of this we cannot guarantee that they willarrive without a break or crack. Many factors such as extremely cold weather, physical shock to apackage, etc. may cause a crack or a “clean break” in the thinner areas of many of our components.Typically, resin breaks smoothly and can easily be joined together with no visible seam appearance inthe finished product. Cracked material can also be easily re-attached. Components that may experiencea crack or break in transit (see example on next page) include any part that is less than ! inch thick atthe thinnest point.


This break at the end of a cartouche can easily be joined together with no seamshowing because, typically, resin components break with a clean separation.

SHIPPI!GA!DWILL CALLAGREEME!T

Our goal at Pearlworks is to assure that you receive your order complete and undamaged. Over the years wehave experienced almost every conceivable shipping problem imaginable. We have listed a few guidelines tofollow that will help, should you need to make any claims for damage or lost packages.

All ornamentation is sold to our customers F.O.B.; this stands for “freight on board”. This term simply means,we guarantee all parts from defects or damage originating from our factory.

Our main challenge is shipping our ornamentation safely to our customers.

Pearlworks has a very competent shipping department that carefully packages and prepares your shipment.For this service our customers pay a “handling charge”.

Once Pearlworks has packaged, sealed and safely delivered your packages to the shipping company,our obligation to this order is complete.

Pearlworks is not in any way circumventing responsibility, but merely stating we cannot be held responsible forreplacement of parts damaged during transit, for which we have no control. We will assist our customers if theyneed any help when dealing with shipping companies to the best of our abilities.

Please follow the listed suggestions; they are based on years of experience in dealing with shipping companies.

Step 1)When the shipper delivers your packages you will have to sign a release in order for you to obtain yourdelivery. Please, immediately inspect the outside of your packages very carefully, looking for any scrapes,smashed corners or edges, holes, ripped sides or any visible damage you can find. If you find damage to yourboxes note this with the shipper immediately before the driver leaves.This will buy you time if you or the shipping company don’t have the time to open and check for damagedparts.

If at all possible, open all packages in front of shipper at the time of delivery. If damage is found make adetailed list and note this with the shipper. Do not throw away any of the packaging materials or the boxes.The shipping company will need to inspect this before a claim can be processed.

Step 2) Make your claim for damage immediately with the shipping company; do not wait. The longer youwait, the longer it will take for the shipping company to reimburse you for your claim. (Pearlworks is notresponsible for replacement of any part damaged during transit).

Step 3) If you sign your release form with the condition “subject to inspection”, this means nothing to theshipping company. You need to inspect for damage if possible at the time of delivery. If all of these steps arefollowed, the shipper will approve your claim for damage. Once we have approval from the shippingcompany on your claim, we will immediately ship all replacement parts. If your claim is denied because youforgot or did not follow the listed guidelines, you have eliminated our ability to help you. All replacement partsfor damage denied by the shipper will have to be reordered and paid by the customer.

FEDEX has a limit on the weight and size of each package. Anything larger must be shipped bycommon carrier.


All long mouldings are packaged in custom-built boxes that are 15’ long. All mouldings are surrounded byexpandable foam. The handling charge for all orders is 5%.

All other parts are packaged in standard size boxes. The Minimum handling charge for orders under $100.00 is$5.00 plus shipping.

Once orders are completed, the customer has 2 weeks to ship or pick up orders. All orders over 2 weeks old willbe charged a $15.00 holding and storage fee per week. Shipping cost is determined per shipment,by package weight and distance to ship. If you would prefer to use your own carrier, or require NEXT DAY,2ND DAY, or would like to WILL CALL your order, please notify us as early as possible.

Canadian orders are subject to customs/broker charges please check with your local UPS or customs broker.Any and all duty and tax charges are based on weight and value of the shipped product and are the consignee’sresponsibility to pay before any product can be released.

There is a 25% surcharge for same day shipping, “not all orders can be processed in one day”.

It is your responsibility to follow the above instructions. Please follow them in detail. If any of the abovesuggestions are not followed, our ability to help will be severely limited.

If you choose not to wait for the damage claim to clear before you order replacement parts, let us know,replacement orders are given priority. All replacement orders will be treated as a “NEW ORDER”, all standardprocedures and approvals will apply.

DAMAGED OR MISSI!G GOODS

1. Pearlworks takes extreme measures to insure that every item you order is actually included in the shipmentand carefully packaged so that damage does not occur. Our boxes are custom made and we encase mostitems in expandable foam to insure total protection.

2. If you notice any damage to a box shipped from Pearlworks or if you suspect that there may be an issue withyour shipment, you must do the following:• note any damage on the carrier’s freight bill.• open the box in the presence of the delivery person & make your claim immediately.• keep the box, packing material & damaged parts for the carrier’s future inspection.

3. Because we use so much packing material to protect our product, it is easy to overlook a part when unpacking.You must carefully go through all the packing material. If it seems that something might be missing, pleasenotify us immediately. Do not throw away either the box or the packing material if you believe thatsomething is missing or damaged.

4. Although claims for damaged components are to be made by you with the carrier, we will be happy to assist youwith your claim. Orders for replacement parts will be considered a new order.

Ceiling 123 components:

Pearlworks has developed a new system using multiple size rings and a revolutionary finial designed for use withfire sprinklers to increase the versatility of our ceiling tiles.

1) The CEIL-123A series ceiling tile with RING-123B fits our FIN-120 finial, which is bored to fit standard concealed fire sprinkler heads (2 ½ inches) as well as made to the exact length to position the head for adequatewater dispersion according to uniform fire code.

2) Use CEIL-123A with RING-123B and FIN-120 in locations without sprinkler heads and our ROST-120 provides a perfect cap while hiding the bore in the finial.

3) When installing 4 inch recessed lighting CEIL-123B is used, the finial is eliminated, and RING-123B hides the standard trim rings.

4) When installing 6 inch recessed lighting CEIL-123C is used, the finial is eliminated, and RING-123C hides the standard trim rings.

By assembling four pieces of Pearlworkscrown moulding together in a square,attaching a piece of plywood to the top,and nailing a 1/2 in. x 1/2 in. wood striparound the perimeter, a decorative ceiling tile can be easily created toconvert conventional suspended T-bar andtiles into a luxurious coffered ceiling. This method of construction greatlyreduces the labor costs associated withcustom installation, as well as providingthe versatility and accessibility of the suspended ceiling.

This spectacular barrel vaulted ceiling can add a palatial look to any room or hallway. While inherently complex,Pearlworks’ flexible parts make this ceiling not only feasible, but easy. The plywood trusses and “wiggle wood”shell can be easily retrofitted in any room with adequate ceiling height. The amount of curve can be manipulated toaccommodate for different ceiling heights and room sizes. Once the desired grid layout is established the remainderof the installation is relatively simple. Proper layout is essential for placement of both ornamentation and lightingfixtures. This Ceiling was built by using a distressed construction grade lumber grid for an “Old World” look. The diagonal pattern can be adjusted to install in any size room and is a perfect choice when ceiling heightis an issue. At an overall thickness of 1.5 inches, this detail provides plenty of depth. The only Pearlworkspart used is PA�L-116B.

Step: 1Cut a block out of solid wood stock or plywood to fill hollow back of corbel (do not use pressed wood or fiber products).

Step: 2Use corbel to check positioning of block and firmly attach to wall or cabinet using appropriate length wood screws & panel adhesive. When attaching to drywall or plaster use toggle bolts and panel adhesive (do not use plastic (molley: inserts).

Step: 3Place corbel over block and pre-drill appropriate size holes for wood screws,(trim head wood screws are recommended) double checking for correct location.Never use a hammer and nails when installing Pearlworks products, screws or 23gauge micro pinner brads are recommended.

Step: 4Apply panel adhesive to back of corbel and sides of block and permanently attach corbel, making sure it is visually plumb and leveled.

!ote: Using a level on top of corbel may not give an accurate reading due to crowning that occurs during casting.

* Pilot holes must align with wood mounting bracket.

* All holes can be filled with standard wood putty or bondo.

* Size of screws and drill bit for pilot holes will vary according to corbel size.

* Never use a hammer and nails when installing Pearlworks products, screws or 23 gauge micro pinner brads arerecommended.
