Pediatric Dermatology Progress & Practices

Purposepediatric dermatology is a young subspecialty and new to the University of Minnesota Amplatz Children’s Hospital. The pediatric population has special dermatologic needs, and the field of pediatric dermatology is devoted to meeting those needs through education and advances in research and clinical care.

Educational ObjectivesUpon successful completion of this educational activity, participants should be better able to:

• discuss the significance of recent updates regarding pediatric dermatologic disease processes for current and emerging therapies

• Evaluate the relative merits of standard and innovative therapeutic options for pediatric dermatological conditions

• Apply new approaches to the management of common and selected pediatric dermatological conditions when appropriate

AudienceThis course is ideal for practicing pediatricians, dermatologists, family practitioners and allied health care providers interested in pediatric dermatology and for those who diagnose, manage and treat children with common and complex dermatologic diseases.
