What is pellagra• Vitamin deficiency disorder• Caused by lack of niacin (B3) or tryptophan• Symptoms– High sensitivity to sunlight – Dermatitis, alopecia, oedema – Smooth, beefy red glossitis, skin lesions– Insomnia – Weakness – Mental confusion – Ataxia, paralysis of extremities, peripheral neuritis – Diarrhea
