INDIGENOUS COMMUNITY OF KAVANAYEN

As a result of the Mayu Program, conducted by CVG-EDELCA, the Cooperative Association was constituted in Kavanayén in April 25, 2004

Starting from a participatory diagnosis, performed in our community, we identified the potential of different products for tourists, distributed over a wide area: NETWORK OF COMMUNITY-BASED TOURISM

For 2003, in the area of tourism, Mayu Program began their activities in the Sector 5 of La Gran Sabana, with the help of

the Tropical Andes Program, hired and supervised by the Department of Environmental Management of the

Venezuelan Corporation of Guayana - Caroní Electrification (CVG-EDELCA, acronyms in spanish)
