Bay Shore’s Penataquit Creek once powered the largest mill in town, boasted abundant wildlife and provided recreational opportunities for the community. Today it is fenced off, polluted, and largely forgotten. But a coalition of local organizations is working to restore the ecological health and community role of the waterway. Join us for our second annual clean-up as we join together to continue the Penataquit’s revival!

All ages welcome! We’ll be collecting garbage large and small!
1) Northern end of west branch (meet at the First Baptist Church parking lot on Second Avenue) 2) Southern end of main stem (meet at Seatuck tent on Main St., just west of Southside Hospital)
• Clothing and shoes you can get dirty! • Pants & long-sleeved shirt to protect against briar,
poison ivy, etc. • Hip/chest boots if you have a pair • Gloves (KIC will supply some) • Safety glasses or sunglasses • Sunscreen / bug repellant
